I guess the answer would depend on if any payment was made. If you have given a cc# and the weather is going to change for the worst within the 24 hour cancellation period, what happens?? Will pool parties go on rain or shine??

Very few places require a CC# in advance. In fact, the only place that's ever asked me for a CC# in advance was the Palms, and that was three years ago. No idea if they still do that or not.

Canceling the day of if the weather is bad isn't a problem, but give your host as much notice as you can.

On point with the above info. To add, If the weather gets bad during the day, we were not holding the groups to their mins so if you had a 2-3k min, and weather turned to hell earlier in day, say 2-3pm and you wanted to leave, we would close you out at whatever you had. And would try to get you a no min, or something for another day during your trip. Not everyone has that as a rule, but I know a lot of host will work with you if you wanted to come back another day during trip.
