I'm thinking of heading back to Vegas 10/18-10/22, does any one know if the pools will still be open? If so what is the scene like?

Per a post below, Tao Beach will be open Thurs. - Sun that weekend. Bare at Mirage might be a possibility. I believe most others will be closed by then, though.

I was there last year around the same time and most of them were closed (EBC, Rehab, MDC etc..)
Tao Beach was still open and had a great party there...

last year Tao Beach was still open on Halloween but the weather was quite nice... it all is dependent on the weather really

i'm going that weekend as well, with a big bachelor party

on the 5th it looks like encore beach club (morgan page) and marquee dayclub (keidy) have events, and i think palms will have something as well

on the 6th there's marquee dayclub (avicii) and palms (roger sanchez) and i assume something at encore that hasn't been announced yet

i texted chris yesterday and their definitely open on the 5th so pretty safe to assume they'll be open on the 6th as well
