  • Recommendations for a group on a budget?

I will be heading out to Vegas the weekend of July 20-23 for my bachelor party. We were interested in getting a cabana at one of the pool parties but dont have 3k to spend on it. Are there any Pool parties where the cabana prices might be closer to the $1000 range?

How many guys do you have? If you have 6 or less, $1000 would get you a corner daybed at Tao Beach or a lillypad at EBC. $1000 would also get you a beach couch (8 ppl. max) at EBC. Not sure on pricing at MDC. In my opinion, you'll have more fun at one of these places without the cabana than you will at a lesser place with a cabana. With that said, I think you could get a cabana at Liquid at Aria in your price range.

there will be 6-7 guys. What is it about the lily pad/ beach couch that would be more fun than the cabana? or is it the Party as a whole?

The party as a whole. Cabanas are kinda cool for the status they give you, but what good is status at a place that's not as hopping? The lillypads/beach couches/daybeds still give you a home base to put your stuff, hang out, etc. Hotter girls, better DJs, and just overall better time at these places. Also, the lillypads & beach couches at EBC are right near the pool in the middle of the action. If you think you want the cabana, go for it. Just telling you what I'd do if it was my bachelor party.

This sounds like a pretty good idea. I had not thought to look into this. We definitely want to be where the action is. I may look into a beach couch or lily pad at EBC. Should I contact a host beforehand or will it be possible to do it the day of?

Not sure where the beach couches are...but the Lily pads are in or very near the water and you can't order food on those, so your minimum will have to be spent in booze only.

Contact the hosts on this site and tell them from the JC forums, see what they do.

Definitely before, you should probably contact them Monday. I agree that it's worth it to be at the best party. The guys I've partied with don't honestly spend much time in the cabana anyway, too busy partying with us girls in the pool. So just go for a daybed or couch at MDC, EBC, Wet, or Tao.

You could get a great spot at Tao Beach for $1000 or less. Hit up Chris Traer. He'll be able to take care of you. Just let him know your budget and what day. Friday is a blast at Tao, Sunday is there EDM day and usually have a name DJ.

Kind of in a similar situation as the OP

Ive never been to Tao Beach, but from what I can tell from pictures and whatnot, the cabanas seem to be set back from the action a bit??? Was lookin for a cabana at one of the parties for a Friday. Problem is some of the guys are cheap so I figured Tao Beach would be the best bet for value, but still a good spot on Friday. Its a bachelor party with about 12 guys. Already been in touch with Traer as well.

Can anyone thats been there confirm how good it is on a Friday, is the cabana worth it at Tao Beach?

(dont mean to hijack the thread, just didnt feel the need to start a new one.)

I've been to Tao Beach on a Friday and confirm it's worth it. If you feel like you need to be 100% in the action, then you could always grab 2 or maybe 3 of the corner couches surrounding the pool. These are shaded as well and have a cabana like feel. Though you obviously won't get the same perks of the cabanas. To me these are probably actually more worth it though. I had a pair of corner couches last summer with a group of 8 for a bachelor party. Plenty of room, as most of us just chilled at the end of the pool and had girls dancing and laying out on our couches just a few feet behind us.

Ok we booked a daybed at Tao Beach for this Sunday. I didnt know about the corner couches though. would those be preferable to the daybeds? We will have 6 guys in our group. Do you have to reserve those as well?

Yes, you have to reserve the corners. The couches are right next to the pool, and you will get a lot of traffic. I'd try for the one's closest to the dj booth if you really want to be in the thick of things.
