  • Lots of questions on Day clubs.

I hope I posted this in right section. I figure most people who do the night scene also have experience with the Day clubs. Thanks in advance! Any information is appreciated before I bother the day host with questions lol.

My friend is having her birthday on a wednesday so she asked me about these day clubs we keep hearing about. She seems to want to go to marquee.

From what I can gather it's like a pool party/night club(but in the day). From pictures it seems everyone wears their bathing suits basically.

    Questions
1.) Attire- Girls have no issues since they got their bikini's. Guys have trunks and are muscle shirts ok? Flip flops over tennis shoes? I mean worse case I just get a high spf sunblock lol.

2.)Table Reservations- I looked on marquee website and took the tour it shows in the tour single beds, a queen/king sized bed and cabana's.
2.A.)I was wondering what the estimation is for each? I assume it's like night clubs and depends on the size of the group.
2.B.) Is it bottle minimums or is it certain amount combined spent at marquee?(Example: for a cabana 3 bottle min, or $1300 minimum which would include food, drinks.

3.) How is the food at the marquee dayclub? From what I can read it looks like they got pizza, entrees, sushi.
    Clubs I have visited:
    Blush(Closed)
    Tryst
    Vanity
    LAX
    Lavo
    Pure
    XS
More to come in the future(Hopefully!)

Flip flops are the safe choice.

      No wife beaters, jerseys, etc...

Have to have on a bathing suit or board shorts.

Contact a host for pricing, as it will vary based on demand.

Just to point it out since nobody else mentioned it yet. Wednesday is not a big pool party day. If you're looking at pictures of the day clubs and seeing a huge party it's most likely taken on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Wednesday will be a fairly low key day at the pool.

Awesome thanks for the info guys! I have never done the day club thing so all the info was appreciated. Helps me focus my questions when I contact them.

Glad to hear that their food is great!

@LongIsland. Yeah we figured it would be low key but we are the type to bring the party don't need a bunch of people to see us embarrass ourselves lol.

Is there even a DJ on wed? Wouldn't it just be families, kids, and people just going for a swim?

To the OP: If your friend is asking about the Dayclubs she keeps hearing about then you guys should go on a Fri-Sun. Or else she'll be highly disappointed lol

Wednesday Dayclubs aren't much of a "club". If she's looking for full out rager party, I'm not sure where that would be on a Wednesday day. Marquee will mostly be a lounge day with very low minimums and a mixed loungy crowd.

                  1) Attire = swimwear/pool attire all around. Girls in swimsuits/bikinis with shorts or some sort of bottom covering as well as a shirt or top to cover. (Casino requires top and bottom covered when walking through, so you can't walk through the casino in just a bikini) Guys need some sort of swim/board shorts and a sleeved top upon entry (no wife-beaters/jerseys, etc). For guys shoes they just can't be tennis shoes/runners or boots or anything. (must be sandals/flip flops/boat shoes or something similar)

                  2) You have the the option of a Daybed, Cabana, or Grand Cabana.

2a) Minimums depend on the day/event/group size and ratio. (During the week Monday-Thursday minimums are considerably lower then the weekends.)

2b) The minimum is a spending minimum which covers drinks/food/and bottles. You can use your spending minimum to purchase anything listed. (Not required to buy bottles only or at all)

                  3) Food's amazing. I've tried most of the menu, and I'm a very picky eater, and I've loved everything so far.

Thanks for the info. She still has time before her birthday so I passed the info to her about it being a slow day and not like she heard about on wednesdays. I'm glad to hear that the food is great though. It's still a possible option. I am just doing the research for her on any ideas she has so she has a good time on her birthday.
