  • Tao Beach?

Hi! I'm new to this forum, but not to Vegas! This is my 2nd time coming down & I've never checked out a pool party last time. I hear its a must do, so myself and 5 girls will be down there May 18th-21st to celebrate my sisters bachelorette party We are doing at Tryst on Friday, Marquee on Saturday and were thinking of trying Tao Beach on Sunday. Any one have any inputs on how Tao Beach is? Busy crowd? Type of music?

Um...there's going to be a bunch of us for something called the May Invasion. You should check it out. I think there's some information on here.

But, seriously, several hundred of us are going to be there that are members of this forum.

I think your line-up of choices to go to is fairly solid.

    Tryst: open-format (mixed music)
Marquee: predominantly electronic dance music with hip hop in the Boom Box room.
Tao: electronic dance music with hip hop in the Opium Room. For Tao Beach, it would overall also be open-format.

As said in other places, Tao Beach should be busy as it's smaller than say Encore Beach Club (EBC) or Rehab at the Hard Rock. Many people on here will swear by going to EBC for Sunday because of the DJs. For me, I'm not too concerned with the DJ unless it's electro or someone playing mash-ups.

BTW, are you really from Vancouver...or is it really a place like Mission, Langley, Abbotsford, etc?

you should experience a major Sunday player for day pool parties...I like Tao Beach...but on a sunday? going up against Marquee Day club or Encore Beach Day club....I think not! we can't let you do it...I prohibit you!

I think Sky Blu is at Wet Republic, and entry fee is pretty low on Sundays at WET

What are the cons of Tao Beach on a Sunday? My train of thought is that I might dig that smaller vibe (or is it just a small venue that is pretty packed).

I dont think there are any cons, per say. Just that ebc and mdc both have big sundays, so they get all the attention. And tao beach is literally probably half the size of them. But personally, i love tao beach, love the service and the crowd is always crazy fun. So.its all just a matter of preference.

Went to Tao beach last Friday and went back on Sunday. Loved Friday and it was busy but more relaxed. Better DJ and Sunday is one of the "days" for Tao Beach. Much more Party and crowd/venue participation. Water Guns, 100 Beach balls, etc. Smaller but not small. Great time
