Here in Vegas now, hammered yet posting for the amusement and edification of the at home masses.

My gf and I (she's a pro gogo dancer), are at the MGM Grand. I'm Mlif gold.

Had fun at WR on Friday. Comped via Spy on Vegas.

Asked about a comp for Sat on the way out and was told "we don't give comps". "but I was guest list/comped today", says I. "so ask them", they say.

Walk out and see another dude. Ask him about guest list. He hooks us up. GF free, and me $40 if we are there early.

We arrive early on Sat at 1115 Host Chris was great. No prob.

Meet up w a girl from Friday. Great time.

At 3pm I am told by a security dude in black that I can't wear my $6 marijuana themed sunglasses (that I bought from the MGM gift shop (!)). He says it "promotes drug use".

I had 20 people compliment me on them, and many asked to borrow them for photos. Ah well. I comply.

3:30, the dance area is empty, but the daypool is packed and rockin'...

My gf hits the dance floor in front of the dj. 3 mins later there are 15 people on the dance floor.

I grab her iPhone and begin to video. 3 mins later I am told by security that video is not allowed ( wtf!). Bizarre.

We weren't drunk, nor stoned, nor obnoxious. Dunno why all the hassle from security. Figure it's just their standard rules. Pity.

Still, had a great time on fri and sat. Will post photos and more details on he trip later when I'm sobered up.

Nighthawk, thx for your post. Apologies for the ambiguity. I'm a little inebriated as I post. This is live fire.

We were guest list & comped via Spy on Vegas for Friday. For Sat we were guest list and the gf was comped and I paid.

Just to be clear, I don't begrudge WR their processes/controls. Had a good time at WR and I wish thm continued success.

But no iPhone videos allowed, and a $6 pair of sunglasses w marijuana leaves design (bought from the hotel!) is forbidden??
Pity. Whither goest Vegas?

This is likely due to the gaming commission warning that went out earlier this summer.

Another possibility is poor communication. Security is typically sub-contracted from staffing firms. So someone probably misinterpreted a rule and you got the short end of the stick.

Yeah, that sounds like a good read. Certainly there was no animosity in the two incidents- prob just over zealous security dudes bored and looking to add value.

Don't worry bro, have your girl drop it like its hot. Wet is like that because other places let all kinds of crazy stuff happen and the venues and hotels paid for it big time.
