Credit card needed in advance?

Hey guys,

I was planning on reserving daybed at EBC or Wet Repub for MDW. Is it normal for hosts to ask for CC# to reserve it? I've reserved daybeds/bottles/etc in the past but never had to give them that info this far in advance. Thanks.

encore beach does. Its just in case you cancel. They charge it 48 to 72 hours before hand. Ive got a cabana on the 26th. You dont wanna know how much im spending....

I think this really depends on the popularity of said event, which in return depends on the date, the place and what you are reserving.

It definitely does happen though so I would not be overly concerned if you are being asked especially if it is for MDW.
