  • Sunday Pool Party for a Newbie

    Hi Y'All,
If you have not noticed, I have started posting here at JC because I will be going to Vegas for the first time as an adult. You guys have all been really great with advice. So I will be staying at the Cosmo from July 7th (Sat) - July 9th (Monday). I wanted to go to a pool party on Sunday, but did not know which to choose. It's for my bestfriends birthday and it'll be the two of us (we're guys). EBC and Marquee Day Club seem a bit out of our price range, so would we be better off getting 2 chairs at Rehab, a day bed at TAO Beach, or doing Lavo Brunch? I know it's a little early since many day parties aren't even open yet, but I'm excited!
    Thanks,
    Matt

Just curious why you think Marquee Day Club or Encore Beach Club would be out of your range? Marquee may have a separate line for hotel guests and it may not get you in for free, but should you get in fairly quick and possibly at reduced admission. Last year I went to Rehab because my girl had never been and I paid $65 to get in and then we had to pay for a chair on top of that. Wet Republic or Tao Beach would be my only other 2 picks if you choose to skip Marquee and EBC. Rehab just isn't worth it in my opinion anymore. It's changed a lot.

I really want a day bed and the Marquee and EBC prices (from what I saw) seemed like a lot.

Post in the Get Connected section and see if anyone is willing to split daybed or table mins with you. You could either find another small group of 2-3 or merge in on a cabana with a larger group.

What does "changed a lot" mean? I too used to hit Rehab and loved it.

Curious too. I have never been to Rehab, I just know everyone talks down about it now. The newer spots have taken over. Sucks too since I am staying at Hard Rock for the first time this July, never been to Rehab, and people now say it sucks. LOL
But if its true that its over-run with "jersey shore types", then its true that it might not be the place for me.

I have stayed at: Mandalay Bay, Aria, Flamingo, Excalibur, Hooters, PH Towers / Elara, Monte Carlo, Venetian, Luxor, LV Hilton, Rio, Mirage, MGM, Hard Rock Hotel, Planet Hollywood, Stratosphere, Tuscany, Tropicana, and rented a 6BR house. I think thats all.

Cappuccino! I would've imagined a vet like you would've been to Rehab by now...huh....

Well just in case make sure u get the room overlooking the main pool area...not the mountain view and/or not the tower...only because in the past we'd check out of Caesar's and check into HRH just for Rehab and we'd get a room overlooking the pool area....awesome balcony views...and it definitely makes a difference leaving Rehab wasted and taking the party a few floors up...open the doors and hear the DJ and keep the party and the newly invited guests rolling!

Rehab is under new management now, since AMG left.
