Sunday Day (Tao Beach)
Those of us who got some rest were just waking up, the girls who stayed saw themselves out and JC was on his way back from his early morning escapade. Today we were headed back to Tao Beach. Chris gave us a food & beverage credit for today that we couldn’t turn down, so we decided on two couches right on the pool.
Sunday was slower as expected, but we ordered some food at the pool for once, as well as a few buckets of beers and slushie pitchers. In our group, this is about as much of a rest day that you’re going to get. We ate and chilled in the shade most of the day. It was a bit overcast but the sun came out and it started to pick up, soon enough we were back at it in the pool again. This was exactly the type of day we all needed. We stayed til pretty late in the afternoon and then headed back to the hotel. JC's girl from Daylight came by with a friend so we all hung out in the room and drank some more until they left & then we got ready for the evening.

Sunday Night (Should've Went To Bank)
The last night was left open on the schedule. We were definitely going to a club & budgeted for it, but didn't know which one. We didn’t want any more pools, so Nightswim was out. After some discussion, it came down to Bank and Lavo. Chris is our guy and that swayed us to Lavo, but not without a healthy debate. Nobody had any idea what was coming, but those of us who suggested Bank instead never lived it down & thus “Should've went to Bank” was born & sarcastically recited.
We all got dressed & ready to end this trip with a bang. We toast to the last night and the shot is physically painful. Grab a black car to Lavo and I remember Turbulence playing on the headrest screens, was hoping for something with a little more substance than Lil Jon for my funeral song.
We get there & are immediately led in by Chris. He gets us to our df table and is going to be partying with us tonight. Sure enough there are a tray of patron shots waiting. Crysis & JC slyly escape to the bathroom beforehand while the rest of us seal our fate. It hurts even more.
Chris brings some of his friends by our table, drinks are flowing and we’re having a great time. Vice is djing tonight and is crushing it.
Lavo is small, so it doesn't take many people to make it look filled, but tonight it felt packed and we were situated right in the middle of it all. We kick things into next gear & make new friends with the industry girls next to us. Our table is now overflowing with women lined up on the back of our couch dancing & security pulling even more from the dancefloor. We’re surrounded 2-3 bodies deep in all directions. This is getting out of hand. We weren’t at the party, we were the party.
It’s getting late, Crysis, B. and myself have been up for over 40 hours straight now (organically, if you were wondering), the alcohol is getting low, we figure an end to a great night is in sight.
WRONG. Another bottle is brought out.
We explain that we didn't order anymore & want to head out shortly. The hostess says it’s taken care of and not to leave.
It’s going to be one of those nights then.
They kept coming. By the end of the night we were asking for champagne just because it was easier to pour & give away. We were surrounded by beautiful girls, but we weren't focused on them at all tonight. This was about the 6 of us having the time of our life & bringing Lavo to the ground.
3:17am- H. texts the group “I can’t feel my body”
We agreed after Daylight that bringing home all the crisp $1’s that fell upon us is pointless & Crysis recycles it back into the Vegas economy at some point by making it rain .
The last memory I have of this evening was having a foam glowstick fight with Chris and the entire club collectively losing their mind when Vice played Zedd’s Clarity. Crysis has a video of it and the confetti and cryo cannons shooting out with the drop is something I still occasionally watch; it’s the lasting image that makes me can’t wait to return to Vegas.
We all left in different groups with H. and myself staying the longest we possibly could. Walked out of Lavo with smiles on our faces & feeling like we conquered Vegas.
Stopped at Johnny Rocket’s & eventually we made it back to the room.I passed out on the floor. I did not care, a bed of nails would have felt like a tempurpedic at this point.
3 ½ Days. 7 clubs. Drunk for over 72 hours straight.

Monday
I. has an early flight & leaves around 9am. The rest of us decided to book red eyes and spend a day exploring the strip. MISTAKE.
By Monday morning I was beyond done with Vegas. I hated it and wanted to be as far away from it as possible. The rest of us packed up and checked out. Today is miserable, it’s actually raining and after going a record 1 waking hour without a drink, our bodies start to shut down and enter hangover mode. We’re all in full out withdrawal. More alcohol would probably be the best thing for us at this point, but nobody can even handle the thought of it.
We walk to the Parisian and do their buffet for lunch. None of us can eat much & we’re all fading quickly. Without a room to go back to we lounge outside at the hotel pool, in the rain. After a bit we make our way to a sports betting place inside Miracle Mile. We have no energy to walk around or do anything, so I bought a bag of trail mix and watched baseball. I’m certain this is hell.
Eventually it’s time to leave for the airport, so we all collect our bags and head out. We say our goodbyes and go our separate ways, now get me the f*ck home. Pass the time in the airport exchanging the photos we took throughout the weekend, most of them never see the light of day. Finally make it back home after what felt like the longest flight of my life. Post-Vegas syndrome sets in as we all return to our normal lives. I slept like a baby the first night back, but after that my body still felt off for over a week.
All of us were hurting just as badly. Here a few texts from the group in the following days.
"Just got home. Still can't eat a full meal. Crackers, water and bed. I have blisters on almost every toe."
"My Body is going crazy. Doesn't want to sleep. Feels like it needs to be drinking and raging."
"I couldn't sleep until 3am last night. Work blows right now."
"Everyone at work is like you sick or lose your voice? I'm like yeah, just lost my voice, they ask how's that possible? Was it really loud at the places you went or something? I just shake my head, if only those f*ckers knew."
Closing Comments
After the recovery I couldn't wait to go back to the place that chewed me up for 4 days and spit me back out, I knew I was hooked.
You can pull things off in this town that you certainly can’t back home. It’s amazing what feeding off the energy of the city and a group mentality can accomplish. Maybe being on the right side of 25 helped, but nobody missed a club or pool party & nobody threw up while there. Thank you to Chris and all of the hosts that helped make our trip what it was.
As a first timer in Vegas I had no idea what to expect, for a lot of it I felt like a passenger just soaking it all in. I’m excited more than ever to return this summer with a trip under my belt, there are a lot of new clubs to check out and we have plans to step our game up.

Good report. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like you had a good crew, which always makes things smoother and better. Epic wingmanEastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."
