    4/27/14:

I woke up and went to the gym (have NO idea how I did this that morning, seriously patting myself on the back), nudged Dani to see if she wanted to come too and was greeted with a string of curse words and anger. Well alright. Head over and get in a good run and lift, and head back to the room. Wake Dani up (if you know what I mean heh heh) and this time the string of curse words are for a different reason so much better. Today is the first day of my Pension Adminstrators conference (supposedly the reason I came to Vegas in the first place), over at the Cosmo so I say my goodbyes to the lively Dani with the promise to keep in touch (which I meant, cool girl so far drama free and both single so why not).

Some people who travel for business and/or go to a conference know that there are two kinds of them; the boring oh fuck why god why kind OR the we just bamboozled the stupid fucks who pay us into letting me go to Vegas on their dime kind. Needless to say I was curious as to which kind this one would be. Get to the Cosmo and it looks like it just might be the boring kind. I am among the youngest in attendance that I can see initially and am thinking that I just outsmarted myself since I am obligated to spend the next 4 days there. Luckily, I failed to realize that it was still ass crack early in the morning (around 11am) and official registration started at 1pm, so MY people (the ones who were out at the strip clubs, losing racks at the tables, and passed out in hallways) are probably still waking up. I relax a little and sure enough as the day goes on I find the crowd age start to skew lower. I'll spare the detail of the conference nothing exciting ( just sit there and go from class to class and talk to talk and that counts towards me keeping my financial licenses etc.). I DID meet some folks who were down to PARTY in every since of the word and they will come into play in the next few days TR. I get done with my first day and head back to the room and decide I will take a "nap". NOPE!

I don't give a fuck WHO you are, what your intentions are, and how much you party at home. The cutoff for how many consecutive days you can party in Vegas is about 5 days straight. Anybody that says they do pool and club/bar consecutively longer than that is LYING (seriously don't believe them!). I almost never need more than 4 hours of sleep and I go out back home at least 3 nights a week, but you can not fight Vegas and win you can't it's like the Russian Dude in Rocky 4 "it will break you". All this to say I took a "nap" at around 7pm and woke up 7AM the next morning. Fuck you Vegas, you bastard.

Next up: The power of being "suited up", the rented Mansion, and Chandaleir Bar Hijinks

(p.s I am in Vienna, Austria with my cousin and older brother for a week, so will try to post the next day ASAP (some funny things happened)in the meantime no tomfoolery don't jack my post like that one dude lol)

There was 1 Marine Ball in Vegas 4/26 and the Marine I met at HRH playing poker that week while I was there said there were 2 or 3 more in May as a bunch of groups missed the annual Marine Ball that is held in October due to being in Afghanistan. I am former Navy and he mentioned as we were talking why he was in town and joking how we were the transportation for them to get the job done though they still fall under the Dept. of the Navy.

PLUS I'm fighting for my country literally putting my life on the line and I can't garner one of the few outward benefits wearing the uniform grants me? (I.e getting to see titties in Vegas and maybe taking a patriotic stripper home with me), seems like a very raw deal man!

How could you deny Marines in uniform who came to look at tittays on block leave! I wish I was there. I would have told those fuckers go change, hit up SR and do everything except kiss those chicks on the mouth and its on me...
Army Vegas totally get the disrespecting the uniform part, nothing worse than that to me (too many family members and friends who have served so I KNOW how important it is to them and by extension ME), but these kids weren't that. Not at all, they were respectful and you could tell just looking to enjoy themselves. Like I said I DO think there was some type of military ball, because I saw alot of soldiers in dress uniforms roaming around that week, and the only cool thing about the situation was just how pissed people outside the club were. Made me proud to be a fucking American lol. Sapphire, don't know how you don't look the other way in that instant, but was cool to see people rally around those kids and make sure they still had a good night!

I doubt 3 young dudes who are deployed in Afghanistan would get into THAT much shit in Vegas if an active officer saw them (unless that officer was a complete dick).

Awesome TR! I was getting pissed just reading how our troops were being treated; they deserve better and got better from strangers! Only in vegas

Nah yeah that dudes TR got jacked real bad! Honestly if it wasn't for the positive feed back from the forum members i might have stopped too. I try to write them when i first get at my desk some mornings and then i find myself being unproductive for like the first hour of my day finishing them and then planning my next trip back LOL.
