Hotel Dilema

Sometimes you meet girls in Vegas and one of the first questions they ask is where you're staying. I always say Riviera, if she loses interest after that, you probably saved yourself one of those i woke up and my things were missing stories. I think Hotels in Vegas are like Cars, guys can tell the difference between a 328 and an M3 but i've met girls that couldn't distinguish a Saab from a Benz if they were both the same color. with that being said just get yourself a decent comfortable hotel. the one time i stayed at a 5 star in vegas is the one time i didn't get laid, every time i've scored I've always gone to the girls room anyway. So i guess my stance is Hotel doesn't really matter.

Cool1g - The answer to your question is strong prescription drugs. Fine on a long flight, but no good day to day when you are on the ground trying to party.
Bzl - fully understand about hakkasan. we went presale to tiesto last year on a friday night and it was crazy packed. i didn't even enjoy it myself, pretty sure they had a queuing system ON the dancefloor which i have never seen anywhere before lol.
Others - We wont be worried about how attractive rooms are for trying to get women back. The single guys will either go to the girls places, or bring them back regardless and they can just lump it ha ha. That's if they even get lucky as may be too drunk.
Soooooooo..... just to try and bring it back on topic ha ha.
Bearing in mind we enjoyed MGM last time, the rooms on the ground floor (entered by security door via casino) were perfectly fine quality-wise, and its all on one level, do people think we should just go back there?
Yeah a bit more of a mid strip location would be cool, but it looks like generally most bigger strip hotels rooms typically don't start to 4th/5th floor, and often don't even have stair access (apart from fire escapes). Checked a few other forums like tripadvisor and on similar topics it seems to be mainly tropicana or smaller hotels that have ground floor/no elevators. Someone suggested flamingo as a maybe so i could check there.
What do people think? stick with MGM or twist?

Well, my experience says differently. And I go by the adage to never take a woman's word for anything, only her actions.Originally posted by Tara Denise View PostIf a girl wants sex and is agreeing to disappear for any amount of time with a stranger, she will travel for it. Of course, it's convenient being close to where the party is, but that's not the deciding factor. If I meet a guy at Marquee, and his room is at Planet Hollywood, and I want action from him- I'm gonna go back across the street with him. My point is that it is absolutely not worth breaking your wallet or leaving friends out of the trip over.

I would stick with the MGM, as you said you have stayed there before and you know that the quality of the room is good, and it fits your need for having rooms with out the need for use of an elevator. Mid strip would be ideal but given your friends condition I can't think of any other decent hotel where the issue would be solved. Tropicana might suffice, but given the choice between MGM and trop, the amenities alone (restaurants, bars, clubs, etc.) I think the obvious choice is MGM in my opinion at least. Especially given that they are basically across the street from one another and now that the Tropicana has been remodeled(somewhat anyway)their prices are not much of a bargain any more.Originally posted by internetjef View PostCool1g - The answer to your question is strong prescription drugs. MGM is more than fine and you'll save $100-$300 a nigh vs Cosmo/Wynncore.
The south strip isn't nearly as bad a base as it we'd to be. Two years ago there wasn't a club worth going to south of city center(Aria/Cosmo). That's changed now.Vegas trips
