Notice the shapes they highlight... No points or squares... I like a good lofer with jewlery like a classic pair of Ferragamo's... I also like wearing Tux shoes for Vegas...

        Talking smack about Square Shoes
        http://www.details.com/style-advice/...uare-toe-shoes

"And maybe that’s the reason square-toe shoes have followed us so far into the 21st century. They are the footwear of the hopeless. Someone will eventually bitch-slap the flouncy adopter of style affectations like handlebar mustaches and porkpie hats. The square-toe-shoe guy? Till now he’s just been silently judged inferior, left to march the streets, confident and oblivious. But perhaps it’s time for a charitable wakeup call: Unless you can live with the knowledge that people are wearing your signature shoe to “nineties” parties, invest in a nice pair of wing tips. "

I like square toe shoes. The lend a touch of Americanism to my outfit. People see me and immediately know my country of origin.

The only other way to inform them would be to invade their country but I can't very well do that while dressed for the club now can I?

I was surprised by this too. Maybe he means the boat style loafers, like Sperry's?

Even still, leave them at home and bring some effing flip flops broseiden!

I prefer Sperry's too for typical water-based gatherings... But just a cheap pair will do fine, it's likely you'll lose them anyway. Old Navy ones cost like $3, and you can get them in a few colors to match!

I am aghast at all of this hate on square toes! I haven't purchased any in a while, but now I don't think I ever will again! Maybe something inside told me it was over, but it still hurts to hear it. Damn, Damn, DAMN!!!

And I wore Bostonians that I picked up from DSW all weekend. Nothing special to look at, but super comfy.

Is a pair of plain black oxfords like these fine for the clubs?

After reading this thread I won't be wearing my square toed loafers or a few nicer pair of dress shoes that I don't want spilled on. I know they are boring but they are cheap and I won't worry about them.

Yeah I've got to agree a little bit with the other dude who commented, some of these shoes, namely the loafers... aren't something you'd see many folks wearing down here either - each to their own though, we wear tonnes of weird shit you guys wouldnt lol and vica versa ahaha.

                                Personally I either wore:

                                My macbeths for casual http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ct7E5g-ReP...anvas-shoe.jpg

or my windsor smiths for dress shoes. Great price and lasts for ages, my current pair has lasted me 3 years and I wear them flat stick(not too sure if you can get them in the U.S). They've just about had it though lol.
                                http://www.styletread.com.au/james-black.html

Also what are peoples opinions on these http://www.styletread.com.au/jester-black.html... i find it frustrating how some of my jeans sit with a typical dress shoe (we wear our jeans a lot less baggier here, so sock0s can show easier by jeans sitting up top of shoe etc), thought these might go alright as my jeans would just slip straight over...
