HOSTS: When/how do you pay them?

It's all in the shake. He let myself and the other guy planning know that he could try and make something happen but wouldn't offer any guarantees. I suspect he was sandbagging and ready to wow us haha. Few other clubs will go that far for a client unless you're power balling. Don't email him btw, responds much quicker thru text.Venetian 2007

As always with a host, if you want something, talk to the host about it beforehand. Hosts can arrange any presentation, and they'll tell you how much it costs or what you need to do to get it. IME, the preso described in the post you quoted is standard for Tier 2+, but if you want as much guarantee of it as possible, it's definitely something you need to discuss with the host directly.Originally posted by MsAmERIKA View PostNow THAT'S service! Did you pay him to set up something special like that for them or know about it beforehand? Or did he just throw it in as an added surprise when you guys got there?
Also, what's best way to contact Bobby? Text/email? Don't have his contact info. And thanks everyone for the helpful input!
And remember, at XS for the table locations you're desiring, you're already going to shake the host at least $500. So you're already paying him to begin with.

Glad you're gonna try to change the mind of the bride to be. XS really is the best club imo and its unfortunate she had a previous bad experience. From the sound of it though, it wasn't anything horrible and def easily remedied this time around.
Def contact Bobby. He's a great guy. Tell him what your looking for and what your past experience was like and I'm sure he'll have no problem coming through.
Have fun at Deadmaus

That's pretty much the kicker, I think.Originally posted by fredbaker View PostI'm with Ryan on this. I'm flying down with my gf and meeting up with a few other JC'ers we've split with in the past and the highlight of the trip is Deadmau5 at XS. We're planning to get a table indoors. Already working with Bobby Y, who's probably the most recommended host on JC and there's no doubt he'll take care of our group. For our small group he's already said he'll get us the best table he can with direct view of the DJ. Can you sell it to the bride that way? Also, Deadmau5 barely plays any clubs. He does 2-3 at XS a year and that's it. Seeing someone like Calvin Harris is great but he's in Vegas just about every weekend. Same for the other big names. So it would be a unique experience. If you're looking to split then drop me a PM and we could join up and probably get a kick ass table for our budgets.
It's going to be a rare show with Deadmau5, and with good placement, you all will be in the middle of the party. It'll be the place to be.Vegas trips: 11/2004, 11/2008, MayOD 2011, 9/2012, July Invasion 2013, 2/2015, 7/2015
