Pool party/nightclub dilemma

The 1 to 1.5 hrs nap is Vital. Its actually more important than the 4/5 at night... well for me anyways... Usually use a 1/2 a sleeping tab to get me there... and a loud alarm to wake me up )

Typical Vegas Day for maxutilsperusd:
10AM: Wake up slightly hungover, 2 aspirins and 2 shots
10:15AM: Shower
10:30AM: Motivate self to put on clothes
11:30AM: Drink 2 more shots, get in taxi line
Noon: Arrive at Pool Party
5:00PM: Leave Pool Party
5:30PM: Grab fast food closest to pool party, drink 2 drinks from Walgreens/CVS
6:30PM: Arrive at hotel
6:45PM: Shower
7:00PM: Try Napping
9:00PM: Hopefully wake up from nap
9:15PM: Quick shower, get dressed
9:30PM: Drink 2 shots, get in taxi line
10:00PM: Arrive at Club
3:00AM: Leave Club
3:30AM: Grab Secret Pizza / fast food depending on location, drink 2 drinks from Walgreens/CVS
4:30AM: Arrive at hotel, drink more if the adrenaline is keeping you up
4:45AM: Sleep

There is some extra drinking at the venues, and maybe during other steps, but the listed steps are all pretty much guaranteed. Usually this plan can be successfully pulled off for around 4 days straight, I've managed 8 once, but some people definitely fail at 2. I'd say if you are a little less aggressive by drinking less, eating more, and maybe grabbing a couple extra hours of sleep you can last 3 days easily.

Great itinerary except leaving the club at 3 am is really early. I would also replace the 4 am pizza by a few vodkas at Spearmint Rhino

No shame in admitting your range. I would suggest powering through since your timetable is limited. Try to have a 2 to 3 hour power nap in the evening and if stomach issues are one of your hang over symptoms, one imodium a day can go along way.

I go out hard for one night at home, I'm shot for like a day and a half. Those wheels touch down at McCarran, and I can go for 3 days straight. It's amazing what your body is capable of in Vegas, the energy is unlike anything else and you just feed off it. Like many posters have said, you get something in your gut, get to that pool party and after 2 drinks its game on and you are guaranteed to have a blast. If someone were to ask me, you can wake up tomorrow and do anything you want, what would it be? Not many things, if any, would be ahead of a Vegas pool party.

Also, on the morning of the last day of my last trip, myself and one other guy in our party went to Hangover Heaven. It was like hitting the reset button on Contra and entering the 30 life code in again. It definitely works. We went right from there to EBC and were at the club that night 2-3 hours later than anyone else we were with. Something to definitely consider.

They have the bus, but I believe it was not running the day we did it. We went to the location, and someone from there picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel free of charge. The way to do it would be to have them come to the room and administer the IV right there. It's a $200 flat rate but if you get a few people to split it then its worth it.

Group of 5 guys that all get hungover easily coming to town May 9-12. We have presales for Skrillex at XS Nightswim. I know most of you will be disgusted with the following statement but most of us are against doing a pool party and nightclub on the same day. This mostly due to fear of being hungover, being too tired for the nightclub, spending too much money, etc.


I think i just spewed in my mouth. Maybe Vegas isnt for you guys LOL.
But in all seriousness you can not miss out on pool parties. They are by far the best thing you will ever do in your life. Better then your wedding day. unless you find your soon to be wife at a pool party and go and get married afterwards. Otherwise you wont top a vegas pool party.

I'm coming a little late to this thread so apologies for repeating, but I think the reinforcement of good ideas is important. EastCoast has it right below. That is a totally achievable, perhaps still a little soft, itinerary.

I don't need to detail my personal achievements in partying endurance here, because it's just the status quo for this forum, but suffice to say I'm a 31 year old attorney who sits behind a desk 12 hours a day, and in the past year I have gone harder than this in Las Vegas 3 times. As Kevin Garnett would scream, "Anything is Possible!!!"

Personally, I would suggest not shutting down completely on Sunday during the day, either. Maybe hit Rehab and alternate between raging in the pool and gambling in the outdoor pavilion. You know, just some light recreation to keep your body from thinking that you've gone home and it's an OK time to fall apart.

I think you actually have an easy path to follow.

Saturday - GA at EBC and then BS at Drais
Sunday - plan on a low key day to recover from Saturday (hotel pool, gambling, etc) and then GA at XS Night Swim
Monday - daybed at Bare (which will be low key because it is a Monday) and GA at XS or Marquee

--You will use Sunday day and Monday day to recover. Frankly, I expect after Saturday day you will hop out of bed Sunday morning ready for another day party. Pool parties are awesome (assuming you like chatting with women in bikinis). But if you are destroyed from the big day/night Saturday then use Sunday day to chill and recover in time for XS Night Swim.

--Use your BS night on Saturday night. Saturday night is THE big night in Vegas. You do not need bottle service at XS Night Swim. Monday night is cool but the crowd will be nowhere near what it is on Saturday night. So go big Saturday night. Drais is a great option.

--My group powers through Friday to Monday. No breaks. And we are not 22 year olds. Not since a long time ago. But we do not want to miss a pool party or night in Vegas. Our strategy is simple - we take a 4-5 hour break in drinking/partying between the pool party and the nightclub. We sleep 2-3 hours. A nap is a must. We eat dinner. A meal is a must. Rest plus calories is key. We party hard during the day but we try not to get blackout drunk. If you go that far you won't wake up from your nap. But frankly it makes no sense to get black out drunk during the pool party because then you won't be able to talk to the women (who will be in bikinis).

--Your buddies don't get hungover easily. Everyone gets hangovers. Your buddies just have not experienced pool parties. What matters is what you will do with a hangover. Will you lay in bed all day and watch Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan movies or will you put on your big girl panties and get your ass back to the pool (where girls in bikinis are waiting to be talked to)? I promise you that if you drag your hurting ass down to the pool party and force down two vodka red bulls, you will get your mojo back. Read the trip reports. Every trip report reads the same way. Dudes are hurting badly from the previous night. But they get down to the pool, knock back a couple of drinks and boom game on. Don't just trust me - trust every other poster telling you the same thing.

--Do NOT plan to be soft. Plan to go BIG. Then see what happens. I think you will be surprised how the pool parties get you amped. Did I mention there will be 1,000 women in bikinis at the pool parties?

--You will be physically destroyed when you get home on Tuesday.
