Trying something different this year for LDW. Going to fly in on the 30th and leave the 2nd. Won't be out of gas when the real days/nights roll around, plus cheaper flights, better travel days, you name it....

Actually changed up my entire LDW plans.

Flying in on a SUNDAY and leaving on a WEDNESDAY. Went from paying $499 the first night at Encore to paying $107 a night for each of the 3 nights there (and it's a public rate). Still get a big night Sunday night, CH at Wet on Monday, Monday night @ XS for Skrillex/Diplo, and Tuesday just lounge at the Encore pool. Feels weird arriving on a Sunday, but I kind of like this agenda and the cost can't be beat....

My next trip I'm flying in on a Sunday because the savings on the flight and the hotel are just massive and then you still usually have someone big for XS Nightswim. I've done it before and it beats paying 3x the price to come Friday at least for me.

I don't even go on weekends anymore. Fly in Sunday, stay for a few nights, party with locals. It's just as fun and a hell of a lot cheaper in every aspect. I'm not a pool party guy, so I'm not missing anything there. Also, I don't care about big name DJs, so being stuffed like a sardine in a club on a Saturday night doesn't sound too appealing.

somewhat agree. recently stopped doing fridays. much easier driving up Saturday morning; no traffic. Then check-in early if you can or do it after the pool party. saved a good amount of $ doing this for memorial and edc.

With XS's Monday night sched. this LDW, arriving Sunday is pretty much like arriving on a typical regular weekend Friday....Still alot going on Sunday night/Monday/Monday night. Chill by the pool all day Tuesday with no crowd.
