While it does seem common, not all XS and Tryst host quote handshakes. It doesnt bother me when they do though. But for a $500 tip at Tryst, one of the club janitors could probably secure you a great location. That isnt a knock on any host. Im just saying, considering the deals Tryst is pumping out, your expectations should be high. Its good see everyone is happy with their deals. Thats what really counts.

So the handshake goes to your host who then goes to someone designated as the table selector guy who then determines where to possibly put you? Host lets him know the min, #'s shake and where he hopes you can go? Based on those numbers your options are created. Host decides best option for you and leads you in?

Is there any way to compare ratios of min increase to shake increase to where you get to go?

I am assuming minimum will always be the best determining factor on where you get to go. After that it comes to the shake? Is it handshake + hosts pull with table selector guy/club?

Sorry if this information is too intrusive to the behind the scenes. I just love logistics. I think I'm pretty straightforward and loyal to the people i've worked with so if you need to message me please feel free > Otherwise I will just speculate forevaaaaa

Thank you Noah for the valuable information! Really appreciate it and I bet eveyone else, too! What are you thoughts on letting the host know beforehand how much you gonna tip him (while asking for mins) vs. tipping on the actual event, i.e. the host wont know the amount of the handshake until he is walking you into the venue?

        Sorry for hijacking this thread

Speaking as a customer, I try to always include the amount I'll be tipping when I'm inquiring about a table. Be straight up from the start

I second this. If you dont tell them how much your tipping, it might be too late to get a better table location by the time you arrive?

That's what I thought, it's the best to mention the handshake beforehand. However, I wasn't 100% sure as some hosts might conceive it to be a little pushy. Makes perfect sense now. Thanks guys!

Ok would you guys rather have table 670 or 400 and why? Just told Bobby our min+tip and he said he knows for certain we can get either of those tables. What's everyone's thoughts?

Table 400 in tryst...has anyone sat there, finding it impossible to get information on this elusive and mysterious table.

Talk to a host and get an updated table map. There's a lot of dated info online.
