  • First Time at a Vegas Nightclub and want to do it right

    Greetings all,

Let me just start by saying what a great collection of information you guys have here! After posting on a few different Vegas sites, I was consistently referred to come here for all of my Vegas Nightclub questions. And boy were all those people right, however searching for some answers to my questions has been quite overwhelming. Therefore, I need some assistance!

Me and a friend will be flying out to Vegas on Friday, April 18th, and will be staying till the 20th, Sunday. We're both not really club guys but myself being a big Vegas guy have always wanted to experience the club scene at least once. Now I have zero tolerance for waiting in lines and standing for a long amount of time so I've decided to go with table/bottle service for the night.

My first question is, is it frowned upon by hosts/clubs to sell bottle/table service to only two guys? If this is a problem, we were thinking of possibly meeting a couple girls and just offering to take them with us to the club and hang out at our table for a total of four people.

I was also hoping to get a good club recommendation for a budget of around $1500-$2500 total, no music preference, and with a good table position in regards to meeting girls. If it helps I'm staying at the Aria. Really could care less about music so really anything that can fit my budget with a good table location for Friday or Saturday night is all I need.

P.S. I've read that if you provide a decent tip to your host or security they will bring some girls to your table, is this true?

Please let me know if I have broken any forum rules. Thanks for any help you guys can give me!

    Welcome!

No, it is not frowned upon for two guys to split a bottle. That is the prefered method of entry And yes, you can get girls brought to the table. Not sure you even have to tip, though they would apperciate the love.

Not sure what to say on where to go. Your budget looks good/great for two people. In all situtations you will be way above the minimum for that size group. However, your location will depend on total spend. Not sure on choice locations for the ladies - I'd imagine closer to the dance floor the better, but that will jack up the price at Tier 1's. Gonna have to call in board help on this.

With no music preference it will be all about the "experience" - so what does that mean to you? Great service, good looking women, top quality venue? Personally, with no music preference I'd probably look at XS, Hyde and 1OAK. I haven't done 1OAK but hear great things and it is more open format music and a little more intimate (like Hyde). Of the Tier 1's (XS, Marquee, Hak, Light) I think XS is the most enjoyable with no music preference.

Good luck and have a blast!

      Welcome to the boards!

Definitely no problem doing a table with just two guys. Some people even do tables solo! But if you meet girls that you want to hang out with you at the club, don't hesitate to invite them.

If you want to stay on the lower end of your price range, you should check out Tryst, 1OAK, Surrender, Hyde, or Haze. Haze is actually in Aria, so it may not be a bad place to be.

However, if you want to "experience Vegas nightlife" just once to see what its like, you should definitely try and hit up XS, Hakkasan (close by in MGM), Marquee (close by in Cosmo), or Light. These are the top of the list clubs in Vegas. My personal favorite is XS, but I haven't been to Hak so I can't tell you for sure what is best. Since you want to do a Friday or Saturday, all of them should be really good parties that night. You'll probably be closer to the top of your budget for a decent table, but in my opinion it is worth it.

Your best bet, really, is to contact a couple hosts and see what you're looking at for price when you want to be there.

DJ Schedule, with some comments, in the order I personally would pick them:

      Friday
XS - No DJ listed yet, I think because Avicii was scheduled. I'd expect Diplo, but I can't be sure. Regardless, this club is amazing, and whoever they have, it will be one of the best parties in Vegas that night. Hit up Bobby Yeadon for a quote.
Light - Baauer. He put out the Harlem Shake song, but I don't think he's TOO big. Should be in your budget. Contact Noah Ortiz if you want a quote.
1OAK - Clinton Sparks. I don't know anything about this guy, but 1OAK will be in your budget for sure. Use Joey Orr.
Marquee - Cosmic Gate. Different from "typical" big club Vegas DJs, but awesome. Will be towards the top of your budget for a good table, but should be workable. Larsen is who I talk to, can't remember his last name.
Haze - DJ Loczi. Don't know who this is, but that bodes well for being towards the lower end of your price for a good table. I put this higher than I usually would because its in your hotel. I don't know a contact here.
Surrender - Lil Jon. Big name, but not as popular as he used to be. Should be in your budget no problem. Bobby should be able to help with this one too.
Tryst - Allie Layus. Don't know her, but you can probably get a good table towards the low end of your budget. Again, talk to Bobby.
Hyde - No DJ listed, probably good chance at being towards the low end of your budget. I don't have a contact for Hyde, but I've heard Zokie is good.
Hakkasan - Calvin Harris. BIG name, so you might be in the mezzanine for your budget. Not bad, but not the experience it seems you want. I think Thomas Gorman is the best for Hak, but I've never been, so I don't know. Only reason this isn't higher is because minimums will probably be highest here.

      Saturday
XS - Steve Angello. Can't go wrong here, will be amazing.
Light - Alesso. He's great, this will be a blast. Likely higher minimums than Friday, but I can't be sure.
Marquee - Ashley Wallbridge. I know nothing about her, sorry.
1OAK - No DJ, but 1OAK is always a good time on Saturdays.
Surrender - Diplo. Awesome party, probably decent minimums.
Haze - E-Rock Saturday. Don't know what this is, but that bodes well for being towards the lower end of your price for a good table. I put this higher than I usually would because its in your hotel.
Tryst - Dave Fogg. Same as above.
Hyde - No DJ listed, probably good chance at being towards the low end of your budget.
Hakkasan - Tiesto. High minimums again, as its a super big name. Personally, not worth it for me.
Tao - Jason Derulo. Meh. Skip this.

        Yes, welcome to the forums!

Chris has given you a lot of information to go on with. You have a lot of options that weekend. Should be a good weekend as there are a lot of member there the same weekend, myself included. Good luck with the planning. You can't go wrong in whatever you choose from the list Chris set out.

Wow, thanks for the quick response! Great to hear it's not frowned upon to get table/bottle service with just two guys. So in that case would trying to bring a couple girls in with us increase the price with 4 people?

I would say good looking women and great service are the two most important things besides table location. At first I was looking at Haze or Marquee because of them being inside/close to Aria, however after looking at some photos I'm really digging the vibes from 1OAK and XS. Would Haze and 1OAK be considered Tier 2?

Hmmm, not sure if bringing a couple of girls would increase the price, but I am sure it would. If that's the case just meet girls there, or get them put on the guest list.

1Oak and Haze would be considered tier 2, but I love 1Oak. I have a great time there. Haze, never been. But you definitely can't go wrong in going with XS and 1Oak.

Wow thanks! All the information I needed and more! Btw, I'm staying in the Sky Suites at Aria so would the concierge help with getting a good table at Haze? Or any other club for that matter? Or should I just stick with contacting some hosts through here?

I'm sure the concierge would be able to help you with getting a table, but personally I'd contact a host to help with that. Going through a host directly will always be your best bet. All the hosts recommended on here are great. They'll be able to help with setting up a table for you.

Yes, 1Oak is smaller and more intimate in my opinion. I love the music there. More hip hop and top 40. If you decide to go there, maybe I'll bump into you!

Thanks, I think ill just try my luck with one of the hosts through here. I think I've narrowed my choices down to either XS, 1OAK, Haze, or Marquee. Probably leaning towards Haze or Marquee because they're closer to my hotel, however I'll just have to wait till I hear some quotes. Nice! So 1OAK is your go-to spot?

                        lots of great thoughts/advice
                        a few more tips
                        1. if you do this right you will get addicted- if you do this wrong you might be upset/feel cheated and not want to go again.
An example of wrong- you could be at a club listening to music you don't like and then get visited by a group of 4 or 6 hot ladies- you think everything is going great but they end up drinking your liquor quick and splitting. "bottle rats"

                        2. If you haven't really been to vegas much- try to see as much as you can- go to a nightclub Friday night, go to a pool party Saturday afternoon and go to a nightclub Saturday night. You can also get free limo ride/ free entry to strip clubs which are open 24 hours some of the strip clubs even do $100 bottles before 8 or 9pm.

                        3. I don't think your deaf- when you say you have no music preference- spend just a little time researching to see if the dj is hip hop, trance, open format, big name, dubstep, trap, edm etc.

                        4. presale tickets- just entry- is a good way to try out a club see if you like it before committing to spend several thousand.

                        5. With tables realize the quote is minimum spend say $1000. + tax/tip which can run +28% to +38% on top of the min spend.
Also ask about bottle prices and table location.

atredm is right, getting bottle service is addicting. I've gotten it on past trips, but it doesn't make sense to do it this trip since it will be just two girls. When done right, it is a definite blast. He's also right in making the most of your trip. Who needs sleep, lol...

I can't imagine me ever enjoying the music they play in clubs whilst sober, however when I'm drunk(which I will be) I can enjoy any genre, so that's why music isn't really that big of a deal for me.

However I am looking to see if there's any clubs, bars, or lounges that play Classic Rock, if anyone knows of any.

Yea I'm definitely gonna be careful with those "bottle rats." Already got some thoughts in mind to keep one of those situations from happening. I could definitely see myself getting addicted thou

I would love to check out a couple of different clubs during this trip but I'm a big gambler and probably won't have enough time to do all that. This is gonna be my first time playing at a poker room as well so I'm assuming I'll be spending a lot of time there(unless I get cleaned out quickly). Likewise, I tend to end up going to sleep at around 8 in the morning in Vegas so I think I can rule pool parties out for this trip.

Right now I'm just trying to decide which night to go, Friday or Saturday. I'm flying into Vegas at around 7:00PM on Friday and would like enough time to get to my room, shower, change, get some food, and maybe do a little gambling. I imagine I wouldn't be done with all of that until around 10:00PM and I've heard it's best to get to the club early in terms of botte/table service, is this correct?. I don't want to be rushed the first night, so should I just go on Saturday? Are the bottle/table minimums generally higher on Saturday?

So basically there are three different charges, the table minimum, the bottle(s), and the gratuity? By the way, if someone can link me to the proper thread or give me some details or examples of how bottle/table service works in terms of pricing that would be extremely helpful!

I definitely need sleep. The only times it's ever been a bad Vegas trip for me was because of lack of sleep, mostly because I usually do all the driving from LA to Vegas at 2:00AM lol
