I always wondered why Hak and WR, and AMG in general, had such good reach with folks from the UK. I just remembered that the owner of AMG ran Godskitchen.

Your problem is the setup in Hak. Main room tables are legit, but at least $5k min . Pavilion is off to the side with no view of the DJ, these go for about $3k. Mezzanine is on the 5th floor (clubs on the 4th) and looks over the action and they're the cheapest. General concensus outside of that is that you'd have to be half-barmy to go in General Admission/Pre-Sale.

Dont forget your 38% tax/grat there either.

Basically, if you wanna do Hakkasan proper then you gotta get in that Main Room and thats gonna set you back well over $1000 each for 6 guys.

I think XS and Light are both better clubs anyway. And then you also have Surrender which I really like, Tao, 1oak, Drais Beach Club which will be open in April and you have many options, all of which in my mind are a much better option than Hakkasan.

Basically - with Hakkasan, dont believe the hype unless you are guaranteed main room.

            If I were you...

            Saturday: Light
            Sunday: XS
            Monday: Marquee
^^^ Could not have explained it any better. Hakk is definitely touchy with table locations/mins. With XS / Light, the layout affords more room to have good mid level priced tables, and bigger main rooms. Now, I can say I did have a blast in the Ling Ling on Sunday but I was in a hip hop only mood and the DJ was on fire. I'm not a fan of the Ling Ling layout at all but it does service if you want hip hop.

Thanks for the back up. Looks like Hakkasan just got pushed down the list a few places!

We only get to see whats going on through media sources / word of mouth. So if the media is tops, followed up by decent reviews, they win....

Luckily there's this forum to help get a better picture of things stateside....

Not really, all the tables at XS are good, except the ones with the stripper poles in each corner. id avoid those personally.

Also in summer remember XS is half outside. You wanna be indoors, except when its Nightswim Sunday nights. Just get the best table possible for your money. Speak to Bobby Yeadon he's an ace host and can help you there.

Light is setup like a stadium/cinema, that being the DJs at the bottom and the tables are tiered. So the closer to the dance floor the better. Ive been only only and had a tier 3 table that was one down from the mezzanine. There was only two of us and we had a two bottle minimum. Its hugely impressive, but next time id ensure I was tier 1 or tier 2 at least. Tier 3 and you're a little out of the action to be honest.

Yeah its a strange one. Unless you look into it and are a Vegas newbie then the only Hotels you really hear of are MGM, Bellagio and Venetian. Its still not a hugely popular holiday over here in the UK compared with others. Id never even heard of the Wynn until i went in 2010, so even less about XS and Tryst, let alone Encore Beach Club.

All in including your tax and grat?

Depends. XS has a mandatory $500 handshake to the host on saturday nights.

Outside of that is 28% tax and grat. Sometimes on big nights with big names they put on a 10% LET.

                            So $3000 + 28% = $3840 + $500 = $4340. $160 to security etc takes it to $5000 for a $3000 min spend - only on a saturday though, Friday/Sunday etc it'd be $4500.

A $3000 minimum spend wont get you a tier one table, or a tier 2.

You have Dance Floor (Tier 1), Upper Dance Floor (tier 2), Tier 3 and then finally the ones on the back wall. Youll probably get a Tier 3 for $3000 on a quieter night. You'll probably struggle outside that

And Light youre probably looking 5k min spend + tax/grat/handshake for a tier 1 table

Thanks for the response, could a group of 9 guys get a Tier 3 table for $2,500 minimum or is it unrealistic to expect that low?
