That being said, I cannot wait to see Light for myself! First club I've been excited about since XS opened.

I assume weather permitting, Eclipse will run through September?

Okay, finally recovered/not so lazy enough to do my review on light from g/a perspective.

Came opening night and Noah pulled thru and clutched it for my group of 4 guys and got us in on grand opening night when the g/a & presale line were like 1/4-1/2 mile long at 11. Also saw ***** S. working the podium but he seemed slammed so didn't want to bother him on a busy night like this. Before it opened and with the delay I still had high hopes to visit this club over Hakkasan just cause the lineup was more of my taste, it was definitely worth the delay. Outside is simple it's not crazy like XS or anything but once you get inside, the entrance hallway is set up kinda similar to XS, had LED walls leading up to the main room and I gotta say that's a very nice touch but nothing as to what was to come up next when Noah walked me up the stairs to the main bar area.

Got up the stairs and first thing I see is the main bar, the bar itself is pretty long as it stretches from one end to the other of the club. Looked to my left and saw the main room and got a glimpse of the crazy LED wall doing visuals, didn't get crazy till Zedd came on then the ones on the ceilings got turned on too so it became an all out 3D effect and I gotta say that it blows any club visuals out of the water! Stage is kind of small but it's doable.

There was plenty of space for g/a people to stand on the very top level (bar level) and look down into the bottle service tiers and the dancefloor/stage. For it being strictly inside only, I never felt stuffy or like I was packed in there like a sardine can. Theres also, I wanna say 4 big walk ways down to the dancefloor so don't worry it's no Marquee "ring of death" and I don't think they were blocked off all night regardless of how packed the dancefloor was. Theres two stair cases, one on each side of the club (one near entrance, other at the end of the main bar) that leads to the upstairs balcony and they're very spacious so even on a packed night there won't disrupting flow of traffic. There's only one tier of tables upstairs so every table had a good view of what was going on downstairs, also there's another bar upstairs that didn't seem too busy if you wanted a quick drink. Behind the balcony tables there were places to stand to overlook but the view wasn't that great cause you had to look over the table area but it was nice to chill and talk there easily.

Back to the downstairs, okay one thing I'm really impressed about this club is that there is not a bad table in the entire downstairs area. Every table from whichever angle you look had a view of the DJ stage whether you were dance floor table, first tier or second tier. the main bar area behind those table areas even had a good view of the dancefloor and DJ stage just cause they elevated everything so perfectly. This will probably be my new favorite club to visit when I'm there, definitely coming back and next time with a table!

Not sure what else I'm missing, if I miss anything or you guys have any question then just post it in here. Don't mean to jack sortie's thread but didn't want to make a new one thought it'd be easier just to look all in one place. I did take some videos and pictures but they already posted up better pictures on their facebook so I'm just going to link the pics they took from the grand opening.

the people standing at the mezz balcony, is it only guys on the table who can stand there or is the area in front of the tables free to roam? Im looking at a mezz table but would be pretty put off if thats the case?

Just got home from MDW... Went to LIGHT on Saturday night for Otto Knows / Ingrosso, had an upstairs table (huge thanks to ENC012E and Noah!!) ... Like the title of the thread says... "wow WOW W O W!" place is incredible. The screens/videos/lights effects all are CRAZY. The view from upstairs was awesome got to see everything that was happening. I tried to venture downstairs but it was slammed and me and my GF were having such a great time upstairs we just turned around and stayed up there.. Definitely fit LIGHT into your itinerary...

Also shout out to Rhythmz for taking my GA ticket to LIGHT .. had a great time with you guys (enc012e and rhythmz) all weekend!

Quick question - in picture 9/11 the mezzanine level looks like everybody is standing - where abouts are the tables on the mezzanine level?

tables are literally right behind them, sitting doesn't give you a good view of all the things going on downstairs just a view of the LED wall, you have to overlook the rails so it's not that great of a view if you just look from the table so people stand to get a better look downstairs.

It's mostly only the people that got tables there. G/A people stand behind them on the elevated floor up behind the mezz tables. If you're facing the stage, the left side of the balcony is a nice area that's on the same floor as the tables on the mezz that G/A people can stand and look down and get the same view as the mezz tables.
