  • Advice for wedding after party

Hi need some advice on where we should go after our wedding reception. I have only been to a couple vegas nightclubs, Tryst back in the day and Hyde so my knowledge is extremely limited. Looking for something that isn't crazy busy but people can have a good time. Hyde would have been the choice but obviously can't do that now. Wedding ends at 10pm on May 17 which is a sunday during EDC. Probably be around 30ish people that will decide to come out, with everyone being older than 35. Doesn't have to be a nightclub a cool bar lounge where we can all be together works as well. Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Two preliminary questions would be: how organized do you want this to be? What's the budget?

If you want the ease of just walking up to a club without much planning, you would have to look for actual clubs as 30-35 people may be too many to accommodate in lounges without a reservation (which would certainly also require minimums and deposits).

Club options on Sunday night are usually Hakkasan, XS and Drai's. I would avoid Hakkasan (not good for large groups in my opinion) and recommend one of the latter two depending on budget and music preference. XS' Sunday nightswim is usually on by mid May. You could go cheap and do general admission, you could book a cabana in advance (great XS promoter listed on JC), or you could even just walk up and see what you can arrange last minute. For both XS and Drai's, outdoor space is vital for you to not feel like the place is "crazy busy".

        Ultra lounge options
        - APEX (host listed on JC) could be a great option. It's large enough to handle 30 people with ease, it has a great view and I've always found it to be age appropriate for me (now 40 years old, I continue to embarrass myself at EBC and Wet Republic, but I know I should be going to APEX at night instead). It's not "crazy busy" and sounds like what you have in mind. They might even be able to accommodate you without advance notice. The downside is that it is at Palms, Uber-years away from Aria.
        - Alibi Ultra lounge. It's right in the Aria casino, so this is the convenient option, though probably imperfect in terms of offering. Not sure what they do on Sunday nights, but it might be worth asking what they can do for a group of your size: I've seen that place used in a variety of different ways. It's not a big place and I would try to book something in advance: expect to pay a deposit if you book in advance. I can provide a contact there if you like.
