"Vegas People"

Had to add a couple to your original list when the trip starts to come near:

-I check lineups multiple times a day even after they have all been announced just to make sure nothing has changed or been added (Avicii has canceled on us twice in the past, 3rd times a charm on May 20th!)
-I start to wonder just how much Vegas stuff I can look at on my work computer before it starts sending alarm bells off with HR
-I find random reasons to contact my hosts, both to confirm everything and because it gets me fired up.
-Not only do I hope people bring Vegas up which was mentioned above, I find ways to steer the conversation to Vegas when talking with random friends
-Any extra money that comes in 6 months leading up to the trip immediately goes into the "Vegas Fund"
-Have to take Nyquil at night 2 weeks before the trip or I can't sleep due to excitement

These lists could go forever...

Going with Noobs can be rough. I took a trip with a Noob friend in January. Gave her the pep talk before we left, so she'd know what to expect. She had no idea who she was dealing with. The amount of energy I can come up with when a party calls. Vegas just fills me with life. lol. She just sat back and watched. She said "Wow. You are really in your element here." She made me go to the hotel gym the morning after going to Omnia- something that is totally against my vacation code. I WORK at a gym... and I dance enough in Vegas that cardio is completely unnecessary. I was texting MY Vegas crew the whole time... "KILL ME NOW. WTF am I doing ON A TREADMILL IN VEGAS? I need a bloody mary... noobs." If I wasn't so horrified at being on a treadmill at 9am, I would have laughed. We went to Hakkasan, and as I'm getting the lay of the land, and deciding who I want to go meet, she says "I just don't think we are going to see anyone worth talking to..." I was flabbergasted. "oh, Hunny. THIS IS VEGAS. If you can't find anyone worth talking to, the problem is YOU."

"Vegas People" are a totally different breed.

This is a great post! Hit the nail on the head on all of them.

I'd also like to add there is a special contingent of Vegas People called "JC Vegas People" or "AOD" if your old school (which I am not to be honest lol). These are the people that not only love to party in vegas but setup spread sheets 6 months in advance of the cost and are also checking daily for the lineups and who's playing where.

Yep. Pretty much all that's been written so far. Except took it a step further and calculated how much i was spending on hotels (travel there once a month for at least a week), then put together a presentation and made my job buy me an apartment... so yeah. Vegas person! lol.

I wish I could get MY job to buy me an apartment there. I have a friend from HS who has a place just off the strip... he's there at least once a month, lives in Cali. I should have gone out with him when I had the chance. LOL. I'm guilty of making spreadsheets. My sister has one that automatically calculates cost and deducts anything (deposits, etc) that anyone pays individually, and lets us know who owes who what. She's both an accountant AND a Vegas Person. But I don't care what it costs... I would punch a dolphin in the face if it got me a trip to Vegas. #tooharsh?

- If you've ever taken benedryl to knock yourself out so that you can get at least a few hours of sleep before going to the dayclubs... because your night was so epic, now you're too wired to sleep.
- If you've been at the club when they turn the lights on... but you aren't done, so you head to Drais... until the sun is up.
- If your dreams frequently feature bizarre Vegas adventures.... I'll admit to a dream in which I went to the Lazy river at MGM and was hanging out with all these really old ladies in thongs, who were really cool, but wouldn't go to Omnia with me, and I couldn't find my friends so I went alone and met Calvin Harris... and he shagged me on the floor in front of his fireplace. HAHAHA!!!

When you stalk the weather, looking for the first 100 degree day- 99 on Friday, Y'all.
When people who don't even know you very well ask you what you think of this club/hotel/dining option

The worst I did was somehow talk a bride to be who actually hates Vegas (don't get me started) to agree to have her stagette there for my own selfish reasons. I had a GREAT time. She had a great time hearing about what a great time I was having....

I am 3 days away from another week in Vegas. This will be the first time i will be bringing to vegas a friend who has never done vegas my way. He has no idea about bottles, how much etc... so this should be an intriguing trip to say the least...
