Best way to keep it more exclusive and curate the crowd is with high prices and a tight rope. That's the plan here from what I understand. Hotter crowd and less bachelor party groups. Quality over volume.

That's not bad to want a different experience, I just feel like if they are going to offer less production value than those places and not be paying huge sums to DJs, they can't charge XS prices for long.

Planning to do an outdoor table there next Saturday night. Will report back.

There no reason to save anything. That's the issue. I mean even the waitress uniforms are like someone's idea of what classy is supposed to be, when then just look frumpy.

I still haven't seen any pyrotechnics in any of the photos. Anyone there Saturday see those? When I was talking about holding back I meant that they marketed the opening as the 28th, until last week when they pivoted to marketing the Grand Opening on the 29th. It became clear that the 29th was the true opening in their opinion, hence all the celebrities, I just figured they'd show off their entire effects package then, but perhaps the pyro portion wasn't ready in time or they still want to save something special for the future.

Well, that's the big problem from the get-go, right? If you've ever been to Tryst, you're going to walk into this place and be like, "oh, it's Tryst". Just like when Light became Bank and I walked in and I asked myself where all that renovation money went since it was all just new furniture. At least Bank didn't try to market itself as conceptually new, different, and alternative.

Anyway, did anyone go last night? Did they do anything different?
From what it looks like online they rolled out a bunch of celebs on a red carpet and had a surprise appearance by Ne-Yo. On their Snapchat that's pretty much all they showed, didn't show really any of the supposed production upgrades.

I plan on going myself in a couple weeks. I don't expect an XS or Hak-esq experience though. Which I'm actually looking forward to. I will definitely provide a detailed report though.

Yikes, seems some people liked it even less than I did: http://pacevegas.com/2016/04/intrigu...pr-test-badly/

The problem is that Intrigue was marketed as a new concept - a different type of club - an alternative nightlife experience. But it's Tryst with new furniture. There was nothing that was presented to me last night that was conceptually new, different, or alternative.

No question I'll await further reviews. I'm just pretty disappointed b/c they hyped this place up a lot; I especially liked in some of their original press how they said they would continually change/evolve the experience so that even visits a month apart would feel different - but after last night, I'm quite hesitant to believe they can accomplish that.

They might have held back, but why? They had a lot of locals and industry folks in last night. That's a lot of buzz and word of mouth to leave underwhelmed.
