I been coming to Las Vegas for about 12 years and I was wondering how things shake out for others when they come to sin city. On my trips I usually get in on a Sunday night or Monday morning and my stay lasts usually till Wednesday(which is almost more than enough time because i'm getting older and more than 48 hour straight bender effect my work week and usually my wallet). My question is what is the pace at which the party and drinking goes for you? How can I pace myself so the 2nd full day is not me walking around Vegas green till the afternoon. Monday is usually a drinkfest(shots/gin and tonics/beers) that starts at 10/11am and ends in the wee hours(this includes lots of sportsbooking, tables, sampling of the best restaurants, bars, clubs, etc) . I find by the end of the night whether 2/3am in the morning I am so blasted that I am stumbling home and my 2nd day results in hangover till around 3pm when I rinse and repeat and party again till I board the airplane to come home(usually redeye on wednesday morning at like 7am so staying up all night just keeps me from missing my flight back to NY). Its like I'm so freaking excited to be their(kid in the candy store mentality) Can anyone offer insight as to better space out the intoxicating?
What is your Party Schedule while in Vegas!

We usually only do weekends. Mainly coming in Friday after work around 8-9pm by car from Cali.
The typical trip is usually until Sunday but we have done 24hr trips once in a while.
So once we check in at our hotel, we usually get ready right away. Its always down to the minute so we really dont have time to waste. We plan our dinner so we have eaten around 8pm either on the road or right when we get in. Dont want a full stomach an hour or so before we start drinking.
After we check in, we get showered and ready right away. One of us usually gets the pre-game drinks ready. We do at least 2-3 drinks during the hour we are getting ready. Our main plans are usually to hit up the clubs, drink and some gambling depending on how long we stay.
So Friday is a rush day and we get in the club before 11. We usually stay til 4-6am, depending on how good the crowd and the DJ is. We hardly ever leave before then. We usually wind down the last hour inside and do our walk back to the room around 5-6am. Sleep in til noon, get up to get ready and eat lunch around 2pm. We do our gambling between lunch and dinner at around 6pm. We have our dinner and head back to the room to take a nap. We repeat the nighttime activities, similar to the friday schedule and wake up about the same time on Sunday. Mlife VIP is pretty good at late checkouts most of the time so we would get ready for lunch, gamble again and head back to the room and check out by 5pm. Drive back home to Cali to be back before 10pm.
We used to do the pool parties but its been harder to do all night, all day raging these days LOL. So we just keep the days chill and do the day parties if we didnt go all nite til 5-6am.***Feb 2012 - Aria - Marquee *** March 2012 - Encore - Marquee, Surrender

It depends on if it's summer or not. Winter is easier because outside of gbdc and Lavo brunch you have the day to recover during the day. Summer is an absolute marathon. You have to pace yourself especially since the pool parties are so much fun. Take pedialyte and vitamins, it's how I survived May.Vegas trips

ONE of my annual trips is in 3 weeks, and coincides with a 3 day lacrosse tournament that I play in. Soooooo...... Night time activities are "normal", but instead of Chillin by the pools as I'd do in the summer, I'm running around sweating out all the booze from the night before. It actually helps some with the hangover, but that first 9:30am game can get a little rough...haha

PS, I've been know to go harder than some during "normal" night activities.... LOLJonny B

Actually, it only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.
A good friend would bail you out of jail, but your best friend would be the one sitting next to you saying, "damn that was awesome".
I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.

It's certainly possible to go all out at every event, it's just painful to do, particularly by days 4 and 5. My advice is just to suck it up and go hard. Block out the pain and deal with it later"...For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come

Most trips go like this
Arrive Friday afternoon or evening. If driving then Costco run on the way and drinks as soon as we check in (sometimes earlier if the check-in line is long). If flying then drinks start at the airport. Gamble for a few hours while drinking. Eat dinner to fill our stomachs and take a little break from drinking. Start getting ready/pre-gaming around 9 and usually head out by 10 or 1030 with drinks for the road. At the club drinking usually until 3 or 4 and will incorporate H20 around 2 or 3. If not headed back to a hotel with a nice young lady will gamble more after the club and sip on beers and drink a lot more H20. Usually crash by 6 or 7 unless on a really hot run.
Will sleep for a few hours. Wake up pop some advils, drink some more water, and drink a little bit of alcohol. Go eat a nice breakfast/brunch and then head to a pool party around 12. Drink copious amounts from 12-4 or 5. Then will go gamble and drink more or crash for a few hours. Either way eating dinner around 7 or 8 and repeating the same MO from last night.
Most of my trips are only 2 nights with 2 club nights and 1 pool party so I just go all out all weekend. On the 3 night trips sometimes I can't make it to the 3rd night but usually I do.2016 (past) - none

We do 5 ngts. Pool party everyday and club every ngt. Coming all the way from the uk it means anything less than 5 ngts is pointless after a 10 hour flight. It also means that getting to vegas more than once a year is very hard. For that reason it tends to be an all out assault from the minute we get to the airport in london right up until we check out of our hotel. This last trip I can honestly say I had maybe 3 hours sleep each ngt if that. The ngts just rolled into each other so it feels like one long party. Its hard. I come home deprived of sleep, hungover, bruised and about 10 pounds lighter from just drinking and hardly any food. Having said all that its the best place in the world and I wouldn't have it any other way!

10 p.m. – midnight – get ready for going out (shower, makeup, hair)
Midnight - Depart for the club
1 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – club/drink/dance

8 a.m. – noon – sleep
REPEAT
I've never been to Vegas during pool season - since the summer is also my busy season at work. But I can maintain this schedule for up to 5 days, As proven by past experiences. If I'm in Vegas for more than 5 days it usually means I have to work and then this schedule goes out the window.

Like previously stated (from can't remember): during the summer, I go all out and take breaks between daylife and nightlife. I make sure I stay hydrated and know when to cut myself off.
At night, I haven't done the brunches yet, but I tend to go harder at night since there's no daylife. I make sure that I don't go blackout on the last night.FO SHO.Originally posted by redbullvodkayou're not ditching them, they're ditching you by not going.Originally posted by kimballYou want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

I've been going to Vegas for about 10 years now. For the first eight we would drive and there were always handles of vodka from Costco.
For the last two years I have always flown and have the cabbie take us to an off the strip CVS.
The nap before the festivities is a great idea that I will try to employ more often. One thing that I learned over the years is how nice having table service is. You can get tickets or get walked in, but before long you realize you could have bought an iPad with your bar tab.
It's hard to shove 200-300 when you are stone cold sober, but it's much better than seeing that Amex bill at the end of the month.

We don't really have a usual trip. Every one is different depending on who we are with, how long we are there, and if business is involved. Thats what we love about Vegas...every trip is different. I can't think of many other places I could go to over and over again and never get tired of it.Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
