A friend had done a night of BS at Gallery and while he liked the music (leaned toward hip hop), he said the hotness factor was about 6-7/10 versus Marquee and XS's 8-10/10. Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Also, to consider is cheaper tables.FO SHO.Originally posted by redbullvodkayou're not ditching them, they're ditching you by not going.Originally posted by kimballYou want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

I think a mix is the best thing to go after (and I am a hip hop head to the core). So i would say hit LAX or Haze. I have not hit Marquee's boom boom room. I hear its small, but you can always go to the bigger area for a change of pace.twitter: @HNIC_Shoe

Gotta love the hate on Electronic Music (and it is not techno, techno is one of the genre within the electronic music) on this thread. lol
Don't get me wrong people will have different preferences when comes to music which is understandable but just wanted to comment on the hate.

Pretty much. It's fine though, I know what to expect when I go to Vegas. It's just funny, and I dont know if anyone else has noticed, but when I'm at a pool party (and they all pretty much play EDM exclusively) they'll start to play like a snippet of a hiphop song and EVERYONE gets hyped and starts dancing...then they go right back to the "dunce dunce dunce" and everyone sits down again. Kinda funny.Originally posted by tombrokaw View PostI don't hate edm. Just like I don't hate country. I can listen to it now and then.
But you can bet if every club in vegas played country pretty much exclusively I'd be unhappy.
I completely understand the shift towards EDM, its working for Marquee and XS so why change it. But I just know that those places aren't the really catered towards my group and I, so we'll party somewhere else even if its not a "Tier 1 club"

That's EXACTLY what happened at Liquid last year. The DJ opened with all house music and the place had no energy. Our daybed was next to the DJ, and he got annoyed at the girls with me because they asked him to play some hip hop. However, the minute he switched to hip hop, the whole mood of the place shifted for the better. From that point on he played mainly hip hop until late in the day.Originally posted by antsinurpants View PostPretty much. It's fine though, I know what to expect when I go to Vegas. EDM is cool and it has grown on me mainly because of Vegas. Before I used to hate it and now I actually have a bit on my iPod.
The EDM formula def works well when there's a big time DJ - XS and Marquee just get crazy.
But it seems like almost everyone can have fun listening to some recognizable mainstream hip hop - Jay-Z, Kanye, Pac, Biggie, Snoop, Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Southern stuff like Get Low, Back that ass up etc2016 (past) - none
2016 (upcoming) - June 10th - 13th. Venetian. Invasion schedule

sorry but any DJ worth a dollar would never do this. Most DJ's who play house or EDM don't just have a magical box full of top 40 hip hop in case some drunk chick isn't feeling their music. I get asked all the time as a DJ to play this or play that I always yell right back "Yeah I was going to play that but the other guy already did!"

Isn't the point of a DJ to get the crowd hype and have them have as much fun as possible?Originally posted by Doc1200 View PostOriginally posted by Universal View PostThat's EXACTLY what happened at Liquid last year. I understand and respect not responding to individual demands but if the party is dead because of the music...2016 (past) - none
