I agree - to a point. But a lot of people want to see these acts anyway, and it actually ends up being cheaper to see 2 or 3 big name DJs in a weekend than traveling to see all three of them separately. If you couple that with the fact that most people already plan on spending a ton of money at the clubs in Vegas, it's really not that much of an "extra investment" to see a big name DJ over a local DJ. I'd guess it ends up being $100/person more than you'd already spend (unless you're going for a great table location with a small group - Then it is probably quite a bit more), which would be way less than ticket+travel+hotel for a DJ you make a special trip to see.
