Just decided to make the trip for EDC too. Probably will be a group of 5-10 and staying at PH. Will be my first EDC but by no means my first trip to Vegas lol.

We're at the Venetian. That's just our group too. From our city (Edmonton) alone, there are 100+ of us making the trip down for EDC!

15-20 of us coming from Vancouver most of our group is staying at the venetian/palazzo.

I heard that the shuttles were horrible last year...did any of you guys take cabs to the speedway? How much was cab fare from the strip to the speedway?

I was staying at the Signature last year during EDC, decided to just check out the DJ's at the pools and clubs instead. I can tell you by day 2 though while waiting for cabs, there were people on the taxi line that cab drivers were refusing to drive to EDC from the strip. We had at least 3 different cab drivers tell us it was taking anywhere from 1-2 hours to get to the raceway and back. I don't know how accurate that is, but it was what we were told.

Hot damn. Ill be there thurs-sat (got a 1 day ticket for friday).. i guess it was a good idea on my part to rent a car for those days then (although it looks like traffic is gonna be insane)

In case anyone is interested in bottle service during EDC, here is the minimum list. Looks like Insomniac is hooking up with the folks from Tao/Lavo/Marquee to provide it, might just be part of the agreement Insomniac made with MDC to present Wet Wonderland.

4 girls from Toronto will be catching EDC on Sunday night! we're staying at PH.

any suggestions on transportation? any cheaper alternative to the $70 shuttle bus and be potentially denied by cabs? thanks!

Anybody else worried that EDC may put Vegas into "Party Overload"?
The success of last years event has certainly increased the exposure of this years. I saw billboards all over the freeway last weekend.
I am not going to be there for it and I hope that everything is safe for everybody, but the following sounds like WAAAYY to much fun:
The 3 day EDC. The week that the rest of the Vegas hotels have planned. The daytime pool parties. The heat of the Vegas desert in June.
The 18+ crowd (and plenty of over 21 that will take it to a new level).

I'm attending Vegas those dates but was thinking about hitting up Tao, Marquee and XS instead of the actually EDC night event, you think the clubs will still be fun at night?

I assume all the daytime events will be even crazier

For anyone who was planning on getting a limo for transportation to EDC and back...I emailed a bunch of limo companies for quotes and so far I've heard back from 2 companies for my group of 9:

Presidential limo: $720 round trip (PER NIGHT) $2,160 for all 3 days of EDC.
Las Vegas limo: $640 round trip (PER NIGHT) $1,920 for all 3 days of EDC.

Supposedly all limo companies have a 3 hour minimum per way for EDC.
