What's the best "Spring Break" city?

Whether it's worth it is up to you but at your age range I would definitely choose Miami over Cancun. Unless you are looking for the college age typical SB crowd.

& depending on how old you look, when I was in my mid-20s, I could get by on going to the usual US spring break destinations, but now, it's actually irritating to see how much more the guys have become douchebags and the girls seem to be more dumb.

Miami > Cancun. Cancun is beyond overrated and is a massive sausagefest with beyond drunk idiots. Now, don't get me wrong because that's what Spring Break is all about but these people put it to a whole new level. It was even to a point where I enjoyed Cozumel 1000000x more than Cancun.


I haven't been there in ages but a few of my friends went to Lake Havasu 2 years ago and they loved it. I know it's not a full on "beach" but it is a decent sized lake. I've also heard that South Padre is a good place for Spring Break.

Vegas is spring break year round. You got to really appreciate spring break in Mexico. Ah, the good ol days..

Ive been going to Cancun 2x a year since 2009, and love it. Been there for spring break the past 2 years. Spring Break 2011, it was a total sausage feast, but last year, there were girls everywhere. Lots of Brazilian and English girls. It it always an amazing time. Since i've been so many times, I've met good friends, you can get "bottle service" in Cancun included in the nightclub admission price (35-65$ depending what club) as long as you have a contact. You can get the contact through the entertainment staff at night, or buy tickets on afterdarkentertainment. Pretty much get a seating area, with unlimited bottles and mixers through the night, plus open bar, so if you want a sex on the beach, tip the waiter 5$ and he will bring you back like 3-4 drinks plus what you have! Love love Cancun and I will be going there again, this March! March 3-10, then to Vegas March 20-26th!

OK so ive been Cancun last two years on Spring Break. Its a great laugh but you need to do a bit of lateral thinking as it is a terrible cock fest. 2011 it was bad, real bad. In the clubs at least 10/1. But the week I was out there last year it was far far worse. I was in the clubs and bars and some nights id say as bad as 30/1 men to women. It was crazy. I had a girl with me and getting out at the end was like going through a football team. She was getting groped left right and centre.

Let me give you some advice around Cancun. Try and think how the girls booking their trip are. Most guys think Oasis or Krystal as they think best party hotel = best time. Every group of guys think this. In my experience the girls in Cancun dont stay at Oasis or Krystal, they stay elsewhere and if they wanna party in the day time they get day passes to Oasis/Krystal. Either way the upside is those hotels are serious man zones. I went to Oasis one day with my buddy who was checking in, asked how many guys had checked in that morning... Answer was over 200. How many girls? 14. Thats what your working with at Oasis.

Pick a hotel that is not known for partying but still accepts breakers. An example of this is Barcelo Tucancan and Gran Caribe. Ive stayed at Gran Caribe and it was beautiful and stacked with girls.

Another bit of advice, this year it will be FULL of english guys. I know 4 large groups all going for two weeks. This is mainly cos of the Geordie Shore programme over here in the UK that was shown last summer and they went to Cancun. Cue all the young clueless english guys booking it up thinking its a shagging zone. Its a recipe for disaster this year. It will be sausage of epic proportions. At the Riu Cancun I actually think you may not even hear an American accent. Its a real shame cos by and large resorts full of Brits suck. The way Americans mix with other groups is what makes US holidays for me, you meet so many nice people. In British resorts around the med its much more cliquey and people dont mix.

Upside is, its seriously and i mean SERIOUSLY cheap. I spent less than $500 in a week and went out every night to clubs. You pay a $50 cover and get bottle service all night long with no limit. Chuck the waiter $20 and you can get through huge amounts of alcohol on your table.

But anyway - ive booked Miami this year and go 3 weeks tomorrow!!!

I wonder what dates you went during spring break, cause last year, i would say the ratio was pretty dead even. I was there March 20-25... and all my friends who live there said the whole month of march was awesome. They even said the first week, during Canadian SB was probably more females then males.

Liv, Bed, Set, Cameo, Mansion are the best clubs in my opinion.
Gansevoort has a nice roof top bar
Shore Club (next to the Delano) is a good pool bar
Nikki Beach is a cool beach club - best on Sunday afternoons/nights
