I prefer to take Aleve, it seems to work faster and as far as I've researched, it's better for your liver and not as taxing on the stomach. You can also just get generic naproxen, they are the same damn thing with our without the blue coating

Well Advil is a combo of ibuprofen and asprin, but I was more or less isolating the key differences.

And it's not the crack - it's the pot. I couldn't have gotten through finals without it!

Alka-Seltzer. Once before bed, and one in the morning with breakfast/brunch.

And I'll second the warning about taking Advil after drinking--that will definitely cause havoc with your liver.

Sorry, but that is wrong.

Motrin is ibuprofen, Advil contains both aspirin and ibuprofen, Aleve is naproxen.
Motrin is more of an anti-inflammatory and fever reducer than a pain reliever, although, it still causes pain reduction as it reduces inflammation.

Asprin, aka advil, is a blood thinner.

Naproxen is also an anti-inflammatory, but because of it's chemical makeup, it's easier on the liver when combined with alcohol.

Whew, it's a damn good thing I don't take any of 'em, huh?

100% Guaranteed Cure....will crush ANY Hangover

I know this sounds a little "pharmacy-ish", but this cure is 100% Guaranteed to crush any potential hangover from any night of drinking. I have put this to the test many times, and I am never disappointed with the results of a clear head in the AM.

Here goes - take before going to bed:

1. Minimum 8oz water - I drink as much as possible (8oz is absolute minimum)
2. Vitamin B Complex 100 - 1
3. Acid Reducer (ranitidine 150mg OR famotidine 20mg) - 1
4. Ibuprofen - 600mg (3 regular strength)
5. Gravol - 50mg (2 regular strength)

Result: "good to go" everytime.

I try to drink a couple bottles of water during the night out, for me it makes a huge difference. This last time in Vegas I made sure to drink water throughout the night Friday night, woke up Saturday feeling perfectly fine. Hardly drank any water during Saturday night and was definitely feeling it on Sunday.

I drink a bottle of water and take three Motrin or Advil, and I make sure I have a big bottle of water within groping distance of the bed. That helps me avoid the pounding headache that wakes me up way too early and makes me feel like death warmed over. If I can sleep for six hours or so, and wake up headache free, I can mop up any remaining symptoms with an Alka Seltzer Morning Relief, a big glass of orange juice, and a bowl of carne guisada with cheese and be ready to go.
