If you book through a 3rd party site can you still get points for Mlife rewards at checkin?

I'd say MLife, simply thanks to MGM's recently announced partnership with Hyatt. While Hyatt doesn't have a huge presence in Vegas, you will now be able to earn Hyatt points (if you elect to do so) on ANY MGM property. For business travlers, this is HUGE.
Hyatt isn't as big as Hilton or Marriott, but they have some awesome properties around the world. Given how quickly you can rack up spending in Vegas, you may as well get a little of value back! Also, once you reach Mlife Gold status, you get matched by Hyatt to Platinum status, giving you all sorts of perks (late checkout, free suite upgrades, etc).

If you stay at an mLife property you give them your SW account # at checking. Your stay at the property earns you SW points...500 per stay I think. SW also runs promotions from time to time where if you book a mLife hotel with them you earn bonus SW points.Originally posted by Jhaulotte View PostPlus m life partnered up with Southwest Airlines now. I haven't seen all the details yet, but considering I fly sw to Vegas there should be benefits along the wayLike all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Bummer about no tier credits for SW flights... That said, I wouldn't be surprised to MGM partner with another airline in the future. For one, SW isn't exactly an airline with high-roller cache. Partnering with a low cost airline doesn't really do a ton for the MGM brand.
A few other hotel chains are forming marriages with the airlines: Starwood and Delta, along with Marriott and United for example. Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Hyatt do something like that in the near future, in which case MGM could hop on board.

I've been a Total Rewards Diamond member for years.. But I am jumping ship this year to Mlife for several reasons. Mainly because of how crappy they treat their their Diamonds and Seven Stars at some of the properties like (Ballys Las Vegas)..for one example.. Along with cutting back so much on comps and offers. I've always had 25k to 40k tier with TR and the service and offers have just gone down hill every year..Originally posted by KG25 View PostHeading out for the first time this year the weekend of May 10th. I've always been a fan of Total Rewards as they usually offer some pretty good rates through their website and a couple comp rooms here and there.
Seems like M Life has recently stepped up their game and is providing better room rates, as well as their "My Vegas" Facebook app which you can play to earn credits and redeem them for comps.
Which rewards program gives me the best opportunity to score a comp room or low rates for a future visit?
I stick to the table games (BJ, craps, roulette) and sportsbook.... and I am not a high roller lol
Thanks for the help!
The ONLY thing I can think of that Mlife doesn't offer that Total Rewards / Caesars does offer is the Diamond Lounge at all Caesars properties. Which I keep hearing Mlife / MGM properties will be offering in the future too. It's very nice to get off the casino floors and have some free food and drinks. And then get out and play some more.. lol

If you're married...link your accounts. This helps gain tier credits faster.Originally posted by Mr. Feathers View PostAny tips you'd care to share?
I can't even get a free slap on the face from Mlife.
Play slots. I don't like slots, but my wife does, so her play gets us comps. On average she probably spends around $150/day on slots.
At least that I know about...
Oh, and don't screw with the Penny or Nickle slots unless your just trolling for free drinks. Drop a $50 in a dollar slot from time to time. They really seem to notice dollar slot play. Here's an example. Last trip we pop in Bellagio. Wife puts $100 in a dollar slot and spins for about an hour and half. Win, lose, win, lose, etc. Cashes out down $50. So $50 spent right. Play is rated by coin in play though. I did the math and she had around $3-5k coin in play that sitting. Month later, Bellagio sends a 2 night comp. Prior to that we've never received an offer from Bellagio.
If you like table games, and have linked accounts, then ask the pit boss to rate your play together. So if you're both betting $15/hand blackjack, they will rate you at $30/hand.
Charge absolutely everything to your room. And if you're traveling with a group, offer to setup the room reservations. Call the hotel and book all of the rooms under your mLife account. If you have tier status it will save everyone money, and you get the tier credits for their rooms and everything they charge to their rooms. They will give their own credit card at check-in to pay for the room, and cover room charges, but you get all the points.
That's all I do and I've enjoyed comp rooms and Platinum tier status. We go 2 times per year on average.Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
