    Does the game ever get boring? Seems like it would after a few hands. Never played so I am just wondering.

      Didn't for me, I never emptied a glass before the cocktail waitress was tapping me on the shoulder. We had a "lucky coin" we'd flip when we just couldn't make a decision, and for the most part we all played Banker or Player at the same time so it was a bit like craps with a team mentality. Our dealer was awesome as well. As with Blackjack, a good dealer can double the fun. On a side note, more chips were coming in than going out and that's always fun!
      Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

        That would be fun I guess, especially if you had a good group of people at the table. And yes Winning is fun!

            Like all games;

            Winning = great times/ exciting
            Losing = dull / boring minus

              I've never played this before but I think I'll try it when I'm down there when I'm not playing blackjack at the casino.

                If you've never played before learning is very easy. You should be able to find a table with one or two people with like $10,000 in chips on the table. Ask them if they mind you sitting in and learning the game (they won't mind). Just ask for one of the rule sheets and bet the same as the guys with the huge stacks. You'll quickly learn how the dealing works and can start making your own decisions as to whether to bet the banker or player.

                Seriously though, you can just flip a coin everytime and bet accordingly and win a lot of money. The "pros" just track the outcome of each hand and adjust their bet size/location accordingly based upon the odds of the remaining deck.

                    Most baccarat tables start at $25/hand. If a table is empty you may ask them if they can lower the minimum so you can learn though.
                    I found a $10 table at Monte Carlo one night at 2am.

                      Just got back (Oct 3-6) and I meant to try both Baccarat (never tried before) and BJ (never played seriously) but I never left the craps tables. The guy I was with wanted to re-learn craps and we did well the first night, met great dealers, and were having such a good time we just stuck to one game every day.

                      Playing Baccarat, I think players have to handle the cards, going around in turns like craps. There's no choice obviously, just a set of rules that I probably won't grasp until I sit down and play it for a bit. What is the etiquette on passing on my turn every time?

                        Unless you go into the Baccarat room, the tables in the casino are actually Mini-Baccarat. These are dealt like Blackjack. They don't pass the deck around like traditional Baccarat. I never play in the Baccarat room.

                          So Chuck, you played mini-baccarat on the floor? That makes more sense as I was surprised when you said that you were playing baccarat at $25 mins. I've always wanted to play it but don't want to throw down enough to play full scale baccarat.

                            Yeah I think the tables in the Baccarat room are usually $100min. I found a $10 or $15 mini table once at like 2am at Monte Carlo at 1 or 2am. You can sit down at a $25 table with a $100 and play for a while...unless of course you lose four hands in a row which has never happened to me. If you can find a "no commision" table hit that one. They are rare, but that table at Monte Carlo was no commission. I cleaned house that night...gotta love them purple chips

                              So when there is no commission is it to the gambler's advantage to bet on the Dealer? Or it doesn't really matter? Do people actually bet on a tie? I've only played for about 30 minutes one night (hammered) and don't remember a lot about it.

                                I've seen somewhere that states the dealer has an advantage over player so if that's true then on a table without commission it is definitely advantageous to bet on dealer.
