i have to. im literally leaving right after I leave the office on fri and hittin the freeway. gotta have everything done and the whip washed by thurs.

Yeah my boys driving in from LA are in the same boat. Trying to get everything done Thursday so they can leave during lunchtime on Friday instead of at night

I'm just caving and taking a full vacation day on Wednesday even though my plane doesn't leave until night.

Somehow those "flex days" never seemed to work quite right .... i.e. July 2010 when American Airlines yelled at me several times for being a conf call with my boss at my DFW connection ... while pulling away from the gate :-/

had a similar experience with american airlines. stewardess snapped aat me when i said my phone was in airplane mode. i told her all u gotta do is politely say that the phone had to be completely off. i shoulda got up and smacked her but this was right after 9/11 and going to jail, missing my vacay to miami, and paying a hefty fine would have not been the move. Esp since my buddies relied on me to pay my share of the hotel and car rental. cooler heads prevailed.
