2011 Memorial Day Weekend Prices Thread

sorry to sound like a cheap@$$, but as a poor grad student we're thinking of hitting Vegas on MDW. Now we usually just bring 1:1 or better girls:guys and get in to the clubs for free (obviously this works on a non holiday weekend)

but it's MDW, so how much can we expect to pay for the megaclubs like XS or Marquee? Just trying to gauge if this is within budget for us... heh

Vegas on Memorial Day Weekend is no place for a poor grad student. Save it for after you graduate and get a balling job with that degree.

No idea on Marquee since I believe they're out of presales but XS is at $100 guys, 30 girls for Afrojack Sat night and 200, 50 Sun night Deadmau5. I'd guess you'll pay something around there and then still have to pay for drinks.

Well I realize we don't have cash to just throw around, but at the same time we're not dirt poor trying to live off of $17 nights at Imperial Palace either A room @ Venetian or Palazzo is probably what we're getting. Just trying to get an idea what things will cost. I mean yeah we typically avoid $30 cover by using guestlists, but if we need to cough that up, that's fine. But a $2500 daybed on the other hand is a little beyond our reach.

Earlier in this same thread they listed some GA prices from tickets you could get on wantickets. Cover for XS and Marquee ranged from 50 - 150. Don't count on any regular guestlist. This is why I typically avoid MDW because the holiday inflation is ridiculous.

I personally think your best bet is to get the Tao wristbands for 150 and do Tao and Lavo 2 of the nights and then a tier 2 like Jet or LAX for a more reasonable overall cost.
