I will admit, the first time i went to vegas I was young and barely out of the military. I got traaaashed and ended up at Coyote Ugly and had a pretty damn good time. Yes, I was intoxicated, yes I was young and didnt care about where I was at, but, I wouldn't even think about going to it now!!

If you do go, get the free passes(which you prolly will, people walk around passing them out), go there sober for a minute or two, show the girls how lame it is and then go somewhere awesome, the girls will think you have infinite wisdom and will thank you!

Shiv, I say change your budget. Make it bigger. Get a loan from a bank, parents, friend or grandmother. I'm serious. Bring double the amount you were planning or more. Get some bottles on your birthday and tear it up. Marquee might be too crazy on MDW so go somewhere else. It's too late, you'll regret it if you don't. Don't worry about the money.. You're young, you're going to make lots of it over your lifetime. Go to YouTube and watch Vegas club videos for motivation.

I whole-heartedly agree with this. I got a new credit card to take to Vegas back in 2009, it took me a long, long time to pay it off, but would I do it again?

Well the shiny new card arrived today in time for my return trip on Thursday! Yes, the world is in economic ruin, blah blah...but that's why we need to do our bit to help Vegas recover financially.

I don't think many people will lie on their deathbed saying "My only regret was having too much fun in Vegas".

Just my (borrowed) 10c worth..but saying that, half the battle is making your own fun so if you're with a crowd that are up for it you'll have a great time whatever you do.

Hey thanks, i was just wondering, cause it says $20 for entry into playboy, moon, ghostbar, rain for thursday night may 27th. I just thought it seemed too unrealistic, but i guess it is legit, since you have tried it before.



Also aaahhh man, you guys dont realize how badly i need a table in vegas. Fuck lol, and i am getting lured into it reading all these responses.

Therefore for my birthday night, may 25th, i have been in contact with the host from LAVO.

Lavo has a $350 bottle onwards, buy two get one free deal going on i guess. Tax and gratuity on top of that. OR i eat dinner at LAVO and get free entry.

Now since i am a newb at this, Suppose i get 2 bottle 350 each. That will be 700. How much more will i be looking at after including tax and all that?

Also Lavo is good for wednesday nights right?

Those wristbands are a good choice. But a word of warning, I think there are different 'levels' (and costs) of the wristbands. You probably want the ones that mean you can jump the lines (about $60 I think) or get a free bar for a couple of hours ($100+).

shiv, i still think you should do something special for your bday and get crazy and blow it up!

anyway, your line up looks good and i'd go to afrojack. the only thing is with a group your size its going to be really hard to execute your weekend plan. especially on MDW. people are going to start dropping like flies complaining about being tired, not wanting to spend $$$, meeting up (too) late when the lines are long, braking up into groups and making separate plans, not wanting to drink anymore, etc. etc. etc.

you might want to make a more realistic plan with less clubs and dayclubs focusing on the ones that you want the most. Becuase like i said on MDW and 8 people its going to be really hard to pull off what you are currently planning to.

First of all, happy birthday!

Second, you should make a budget. Vegas is expensive. Figure out how much each of your friends is REALLY willing to contribute.

Combined that with your own budget.

Subtract the basics (food, hotel…ect)

The remaining amount is your “fun money”.

Divide that per night

That is what you can afford every night.

I emphasize this because a lot of friends say they are willing to contribute a certain amount (say $500 bucks) but assume that includes their contribution to the hotel and gas and whatever else.

Make a budget for clubs and day clubs that includes table service, tipping, cover, drinks, whatever.

Third, you are in luck. You have women…which means you might not get fleeced when you go clubbing. The girls can get in for free. When you are booking with your host, hammer this fact again and again. It is good leverage.

Oh ya, and make sure the your female companions brings their A game attire.

Think of it like a painting.

Alone, guys are a common piece of stock art. A dime a dozen. If you don’t bribe or buy your way in (table) you are the same as everyone else. Throw is an equal amount of women and suddenly you are museum material. The ugly duckling is a beautiful swan and the host will feel better about letting you in at a discounted price.

Four, day clubs are an expense you really don’t need to incur if you have a tight budget.

If you are ALREADY paying for a room at the Cosmo, then enjoy what you are ALREADY paying for.

The Cosmo is a new, shiny toy. Go explore it!

Check out the FREE pools. All new things in Vegas attract interesting and good looking people. Pre-game in your hotel room, get buzzed and camp out an early spot by the best pools. You will be fine.

Five,since I mentioned it….. PRE GAME…go buy booze before you go to Vegas. It will save you lots of cash.

Six, go check out the Marquee. It’s new and you get in free. What am I missing?

Seven, you didn’t do yourself any favors being born on one of the most crowded and expensive weekends in Vegas….but if you want a good time and don’t want to pay for a top tier club (XS, Tryst, Tao) go check out Jet. I have had some good times there and the crowd is usually pretty good.

You can also go club hopping at the Palms. Try the Palms wristband deal. It will get you into Ghostbar and Rain and Moon and you can pick your poison. With your group, it’s probably best not to be tied down to one spot.

Also, do not over look casino or hotel lounges and bars as a way to start the evening. Lots of good, cheap fun to be had. The veterans on this site like Gold. Try that out.

Eight, why are you even thinking about a strip club if you have women with you..unless, they are into that as well, in which case I should be asking you for advice.

Nine, if this is your first trip to Vegas I am assuming you are pretty young or inexperienced. Not hating, just stating.

Be careful!

Stick to a buddy system. This instinct is practically drilled into women nowadays but guy’s survival instincts seem to go to sh%# in Vegas.

Watch out for each other.

If you split up, make pre-arranged meeting plans or divide your keys up accordingly because people tend to do really stupid sh%* in Vegas.

Being locked out your hotel room at 4am sucks, especially if you have a girl with you.

Get it?

TEN, if you want to go out, contact Jack Colton’s approved hosts. Be honest, be polite and be direct. They will help you out but don’t expect the world because people with a lot of spare cash are clubbing right along with you.

I would club hop for 1 night or 2 and then pool your money together and get at least 1 table somewhere for a night. Maybe Rain or Drai’s or Tryst or something.

It’s a fun experience and to be real with you, chicks dig table service.

First of all, Breeze this should be published as a pamplet and be required reading for all vegas virgins. Shiv, take notes, this advice is golden.

Third. I'm really sorry you have such cheap friends. It's too bad you couldn't come a week earlier and party with most of us. And I'm sorry you are going on one of the MOST EXPENSIVE WEEKENDS EVER. I hope you understand you are going to a desert of club heat where bottles of water are 8$ and up? I just don't want you to be surprised by 10$ red bulls. I wish you weren't going when you are going...because I'd tell you to do it right the first night and ditch your friends for a little bit; let them wait in line for an hour while you get ushered right in and let them stand around and dance for four or five hours WITH NOWHERE TO SIT and they'd learn pretty fast. Unfortunately you won't have the rest of the weekend to teach them this because by then, MDW, table service will likely be out of your range.

So here is my advice: Contact the hosts and see if you can get into Surrender Wednsday night. This may require some grease or for you to get there early, but it's a really solid venue and you'll have a great time for you birthday. Hopefully this wises up your CAF and they realize that a) lines suck, b) standing sucks C) paying cover plus grease plus about four drinks and tip is about as much as bottle service when divided properly. On the side, try to book a table at Tao or Tryst for Thursday for one bottle. This will probably not happen, but you can't win if you don't try. Don't tell your friends. Here is what you'll do, tell the host that you've got three guys (under normal circumstances it would be one bottle. you'll get put out in the boonies, near the stairs or bathroom, but, well, whatever). This should come out to about 250 per person (maybe more because of the MDW inflation-if that is the case, I'm sorry). Then get the girls on the guestlist (a host can do that for you-but do it separate from the bottle service [someone else may chime in here, I'm not sure how this is done. normally the our girls do this themselves, but you wouldn't want to tell your CAF]) and they'll get in for free (or for a little less than normal, I keep forgetting it's MDW) and they can meet you inside. Your buddy that doesn't drink, well, fuck him I don't know. The only time I rolled with a guy that didn't drink, he knew how to handle himself and he greased his way in no problem.

If this doesn't work at Tryst or Tao (and as I write this I'm skeptical, because it's MDW) then try a 2nd tier club like Pure or JET or Bank. MDW will be a bitch. But my point is this: Bottle service is a must. I cannot imagine doing vegas without bottle service. The ladies will want somewhere to sit. Being waited on is fun. Being ushered past a three hour line is BOSS.

Final bits of advice...and most of us have done this: have fun where ever you go, it's not the venue, it's what you bring to it AND make some friends on here and ditch your CAF so when you go back to Vegas (and you will) you can skip lines like AOD does.

PS. keep up with this site. Watch how we do it during mAyOD and get some tips. If you can see a show, they're fun too. Eat a nice dinner once if you can. I would def use everything Cosmo has to offer, including going to Marquee!

PPS I missed where your from, but unless you guys are from Antarctica, there are better things to do in your town than Coyote Ugly. I would ask my friends why would you fly/drive all the way to Vegas to do what we could do at the local dive bar? You might as well go all the way to Vegas to eat at McDonalds and call it fine dining.

and like soeone said earlier, get the wristbands that are $60 for palms. the ones you linked earlier do not get you pass the lines, so youre gonna have to wait in line, and are basically paying for cover in advance
