Encore is very nice. I stayed there in April and will be staying there in September again.

First off, welcome! I will be out in Vegas the very same weekend as well as a lot of other forum members.
As far as where to stay I haven't stayed at all or even most of these places, but maybe I can give you some things to think about.
To start out, are you getting a regular room or suite? If hosting after hours or the like obviously a suite is better, but only you know your plans. Once you know that, you can get a little more in-depth. Suites are normally nice at most places on the strip. If it's just a standard room it's a little different.
Also, how much time do you really plan on spending in your room? I don't plan on much. If you don't either, then maybe you should plan your hotel around your activities. I've never personally worn high heels, but i'd imagine they are a bitch over long distances. Unless you've got someone to piggy back you around (which I may or may not be willing to do depending on the level of my alcohol consumption on any given day) this could be one of the biggest factors for you. Pools are a big deal to think about with this as well (but I see you're already considering that).
Hope this helps!Last edited by tschwicht; 06-15-2009, 01:29 PM.

haha no. it's a POSSIBLE (see: inebriation level) offer and I would't consider it a service. usually a service is something desirable or with purpose. hanging on for dear life to me as I stumble down the strip hardly constitutes either of those things.Originally posted by nyc2vegas View Postcan this be construed as an offer of services and solicitations?

Well it a bit north on the strip, right across from the Fashio Mall but it's not really that bad of a location. It is pretty much the last hotel/casino before Riviera and Circus Circus but it is definately worth it in opinion! Plus they have an awesome nightlife scene there and it's right next door to Palazzo and VenetianOriginally posted by tschwicht View Posthaha no. it's a POSSIBLE (see: inebriation level) offer and I would't consider it a service. usually a service is something desirable or with purpose. hanging on for dear life to me as I stumble down the strip hardly constitutes either of those things.................

I would NOT do hard rock, its an ok place but you will spend more time outside of HR and its kind of a pain in the ass. Palms is a great spot easier to get to strip (and cheaper cause you can take the shuttle from gold coast across street) alot more goin on and like ive said before I dont think you can go wrong with encore, its in the perfect part of the strip great clubs in xs and tryst next door, close to tao and its new so youll have great restaurants stores etc.Originally posted by pradagirl View Posthaha you guys are cute...so um..i've been getting some messages about Hard Rock and Palms as the best bets. I don't know why i'm not sold on the Palms. I keep reading that the casino sucks at Palms and the food area looks like a mall food court?? that's kind of lame isn't it?! Hard Rock is out for sure. Done. BUT....my final 3 options..Encore/Venetian/PH. I do like that those two clubs are in Encore though NYC....where have you stayed before?

J/K
Where do you plan on going while you're there?
This is really good advice. You can always shuttle/cab to Palms if you REALLY want to hit those clubs (maybe do the N9ne bracelet one night) but this gives you Tryst one night and XS another without having to go very far.Originally posted by nyc2vegas View PostI dont think you can go wrong with encore, its in the perfect part of the strip great clubs in xs and tryst next door, close to tao and its new so youll have great restaurants stores etc.
