  • anybody check out Absinthe yet ?

Hi, just wondering if anyone has already or soon plans to check out the new show "Absinthe Vegas" at the "spiegelworld" which seems to be something they've built in the plaza area between Serendipity 3 and the rest of Caesar's... adult themes, some competition for Zumanity, perhaps? I was mildly interested and even more so after seeing Angel get a part on the recent Holly's World... thinking of checking it out mid-May.... comments/feedback???

I went to see Absinthe on April 7th.

It's increadible! Spiegelworld Beer Garden is free admission even if you're not going to the show. The beer garden alone is a TREAT to see. It's like someone's crazy backyard.

You're not sure where the seating is, because it's not super obvious until you realize, nearly everything is a seat.

Bathtubs cut up with cushions inside, metal welded together to "form" tables and chairs.

The atmosphere is very "Carnivale". Love it.

I LOVED the show. I got the tickets nearly half off at that tickets booth thingy at Fashion Show Mall. So like 50$ or so.

    EXCELLENT Show!

I've never been so close to performers before. You sit in a circle around the stage. The stage itself spins, raises, lowers, transforms etc for each act.

The Gazillionaire is funny and the show is really interactive! Audience beware in the front row

The acts themselves are brilliant. My favorite are the rollerskaters. Just gorgeous to watch!

The show is about 90 minutes. Filled with strength acts, tightrope, silks, comedy, gorgeous girls in their skimpiest panties and sequin pasties. The music is fantastic, the singers are top!

I loved every minute of it!

thanks Melon! great review, sounds like a fantastic show. Have read several other excellent reviews and picked up a pair of tickets thru a Facebook special (if you 'like' Absinthe or Caesars Palace, you'll get the click here for such and such special type of messages). Can't wait to check it out on Friday the 13th (of May)...

          Go see Absinthe!

Well, it certainly lived up to the reviews I've read so far... GREAT SHOW, DAMN FUNNY, and some really cool stuff, totally agree the rollerskating is unbelievable given the space they are working in.

Angel's part is pretty minimal, for some reason I thought she was going to be the Gazillionaire's co-host (Penny?) but she does well with the opportunity. Not to mention showing off what Holly gave her a bit

Didn't have time to arrive early and check out the beer garden but the overall look/theme is a very cool throwback and different than anything else in Vegas, that's for sure.

          Enjoy!

When hearing the title "absinthe" i think of the hallucenigenic drink made from worm wood and love the idea. Before watching the preview And after reading the description on the beer garden I thought of Marilyn mansons mansithe and thought damn this could be good! Then after watching the preview it looked a little soft they deff could of pushed the limits more. but still Interesting like a adult themed booze filled circus.

I saw Absinthe last Friday and loved it! I absolutely loved the audience interaction and how all the acts were super close to you. We sat in the first row & it was definitely worth it. We got the ticket from tix for tonight. We did the VIP so we could get priority seating (aka you skip the line choose your seat before they let everyone else in) for about $80. You also get this cool hidden area to hang out in. It was definitely worth the price & so much fun. I'd recommend it.

Wife and I went and saw it last trip out. Saw a guy handing out free $20 off coupons outside the box office and got the cheaper tix. Didn't matter cause we got great seats.

Loved the show. Would go again. We laughed a lot at the jokes and the thought the acrobatics (or whatever you want to call them) were really good.
