Cheap ass friend syndrome.

Alright so heres the thing im going to vegas with a group of 10...i tried explaining to them that we need atleast 3 bottles...but there all cheap SOB's. So chances are im gonna get some alcohol in the system say F**k it and end up pickin up the rest...anyone else have this Cheap ass friend syndrome.

Yes, I've only gotten BS twice out of all my trips in Vegas because I have some cheap friends. It sucks but I still find ways to get drunk w/o spending too much. Also have to work a little bit harder at pulling chicks

Great thread. We all have those friends and I don't think it is limited to just Vegas. I am actually organizing a trip for the summer and wanted to keep it small, but word got out and now two of my cheapest friends are going, but I made a point of letting them know up front, this is what we are doing, this is what it will cost, if you don't want to pay, don't go or plan on doing something else. Oh yeah, you two are staying together as well.

What pisses me off is one of them is really wealthy.

I have one of those who also has "I think I'm the shit at poker and lose my bankroll in 30 minutes" syndrome. So after 2 hours in Vegas hes broke mopin around. Haven't gone with him in years but some mutual friends do. Buzzkill

I have so many cheap, clueless, idiot friends. Learned my lesson years ago - they are fun at home, but not in Vegas. Now I roll with a small hand selected crew that knows what's up and how to act.

So true. We've all got C.A.S. friends. But when I partied with the AOD last year, there wasn't any of that going on. Everyone clearly communicated, worked together, knew how much when and where and who, and in general the whole things was very smooth and on point. EVERYONE WAS THERE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. AOD!!!!!!!!!!!

On my first trip one of my good friends originally wasn't invited because I know he is cheap, but after he bitched I told him he could come. He didn't want to pay to get passed the line at WET so he waited in line...he never made it in. Apparently he waited for 2 hours and then when he found out there was a cover he flipped out and went back to the room. He spent the rest of the trip sulking in the room because anyone who pays to get into pools and clubs is stupid. He complained the whole flight home because we ditched him.

Lol, I think we have the same friend. Same exact thing happened to me with one of my boys.

Last trip had 9 guys, only 2 made the cut for future trips.

This is all so true. I can't stand spending months trying to convince people that bottle service is the way forward!

The problem is that in the UK we don't do tipping, and when I tell people about the power of a Vegas handshake they actually think I'm making it up! So last time I came over, my some of my friends didn't want to tip the guy on the door for letting us jump the line. The reason? "What's the point of tipping him? We're never going to see him again"

Needless to say I was disgusted, gave the guy a massive tip from my own pocket and vowed that I was never going to Vegas with those creatures again.

So next month I'm coming out with some other mates - a bunch of air force pilots and we're taking it in such the opposite direction. The batchelor himself has paid for suites at HRH all round and has personally already put $5 grand in the drinks kitty (Mikey T and Donnie take note )

But it's not about the amounts of money, it's being in the best party location on earth which a bunch of friends that all share the same belief...we're in Vegas for 96 hours, and we're not going to waste any them sleeping or being cheap.

*Disclaimer..sorry I'm not boasting about money or anything like that, certainly not in this economic climate...we've all been starving ourselves and saving for this trip for months...hence why I'm here on a Friday night instead of being out in a club! But it will be sooo worth it!!
