Simple, I tend to spend alot of time on them. lol. 3 years ago I was at a party with the girl I was seeing and her friend forgot my name and just started calling me crutches since I was on them. I've spent almost the same amount of time on them as off of them over the last 6 years so everyone laughed and thought it was fitting so it stuck.
