Did you contact the hosts listed on this site?Originally posted by BrainChild View PostI'm going to haze on friday march 11 and xs saturday march 12.Originally posted by Vadiksf415 View PostUmm, with the amount of bottles you are going to be getting, you will get a prime location at any club (well prolly except Marquee). $100 for bottle isn't necessary, you tip what you feel is deserved to be tipped to host. Also, don't forget to ask host what kind of deals they can provide you with..like say a B5G3 type of deal or something along those lines.Originally posted by BrainChild View Postthanks for the responses.
i have read through the forums. but i am buying 8 bottles first night and 10 bottles second night.
so at peoples suggestions to tip 100 per bottle seems kinda steep considering it would be 800(first night) and 1000(second night) tip
i just couldnt justify giving someone a $1000 dollar tip especially if he trys to sit my group in the back corner.
Also, which clubs did you plan on going to?
with the amount of bottles i am buying....yes i do expect a table in a prime location. but every host i talk to says it's spring break and considered one of the busiest times of the year blah blah blah and we need to buy more bottles to guarantee our tables wont be given away last minute.....not sure if they are just saying that to get us to buy more.
eitherway it's the first bachelor party of all my close friends so we want to make sure we do it right.
i should also mention that this is for 18 guys. so from the start i always expected that we would have to buy more bottles for good tables since it is a sausage fest

I doubt most hosts remember most of the ppl that took care of them. But having said that, it also depends on you if keep in touch with them, i.e facebook, etc.Originally posted by areacode201 View PostHow well do hosts remember particularly good/bad tippers? I'd usually try to tip before you get to your table, this way the host is more inclined to take care of you since you've already taken care of him. This also puts the tip out there so that if you do get to your table and you're not happy, you can simply ask him if he can do anything more for you table wise and there is no awkward money exchange at that point. Thats just my opinion though, take care of the host to ENSURE he/she takes care of youOriginally posted by Robg716 View PostThought I'd ask in here instead of starting a whole new thread, when is it best to tip the host? When I get to the door and meet him? When he walks me to my table? At the end of my night? Half at start and half at end?
Just seems that if I tip at the start I'm paying for a service I may not get or may not think it good enough for what I pay.
Without being a host myself, I can tell you that while some may not remember all the good/mediocre tippers, I guarantee you they remember the really bad onesOriginally posted by areacode201 View PostHow well do hosts remember particularly good/bad tippers? Good thing you found these forums you cheap bastard!Originally posted by BrainChild View Postafter reading these forums i feel like a cheap fool.
i went to vegas twice before and the hosts set everything up for me and my friends...usually a group of 8. and i never tipped the hosts cause i didn't think we were suppose to. i always assumed the service charge goes to the host and waitress. and i thought the more bottles you buy the more commission the hosts make. so i would just buy more bottles throughout the night.
atleast now i know
i assume many people reading this thought the same. cause in my city we have table service but the hosts don't do shiit and no one tips them. they are super happy to get any tip cause it just never happens. vegas is like a whole different country when it comes to this stuff
I'm sure your experiences with these hosts will be much better now
