btw they didn't ask for my credit card information which I found very strange.... but I did get a confirmation

yeah i was wondering about that too. not that i'm not thrilled to not have to pay a deposit. i booked already for Thurs-checkout Mon, i'm just going to call them back with my confirmation number and have them add on Monday night. and maybe Wednesday night...

ok, just got off the phone with them, they were able to change my existing res to come in on Wednesday the 18th and leave on Tuesday the 24th

Just so everyone who has booked is wondering...

The site not having the credit card information is a glitch in their booking system. Rumor is gonna start calling people to verify credit card information soon, but the lady on the phone said we won't lose our reservations because of it.

I have a ridiculous rate for a 1-bedroom suite at PALMS PLACE ($69/night for May 20,21 & 22). These rooms are sweeeet and I've always wanted to stay there. But, I will probably spend a fortune in cabs getting to RUMOR and back. I did make a reservation at RUMOR for the aforementioned room. Which reservation should I keep?

Well the rate for the palms is better then the rate for a reg room at Rumor. You might spend a little on cabs to rumor but leaving Rumor I am sure there will be ppl to split a cab with thus making it cheaper on you. I would stay at Palms if I found that deal.

I was leaning towards staying somewhere else too, but looking closely at rumor, it looks really nice. And those savings per room will be offset by the cabs (you'll spend 20$ a day easy). Plus, so many peeps will be there. So I am leaning towards Rumor now.
