Harpo has been talking about hitting up Carnival Court for our trip... I've been skeptical but sounds like a good time!! Where is it located? Do you think it will be too cold to hang out there during the day?

It's between Harrahs and .... imperial palace I believe. Just sit by a heater if you're cold lol.

Can you grab lunch there? We'd be going right after checking in so we're debating on whether or not to catch a bite on the way there or wait and see what they have to offer....

Echoing the previous posts, it is a great spot to go to during the day. Late afternoon (3 to 6ish) seems the best at giving you a fun Spring Break atmosphere. At night, it usually picks back up again, although it is much more of a dive bar/wouldn't-be-caught-paying-cover-or-bottle-service-at-a-club kind of crowd, so you can get some fights and really drunk, belligerent people there. They also start charging a $10 cover around 10 pm (usually just in summer) and if you're in there before the cover, you can get a wristband and come and go as you please.

You used to be able to order sandwiches, but the deli in Harrah's is no longer open, so ordering food may be limited. They also have that trailer outside Carnival Court that serves quick stuff like hot dogs, burgers, and chicken tenders.

I recommend getting drinks from Flippy or Vache, who are great guys and make very strong drinks. Sit in their section if there's room at the bar and you get a great view of all their tricks, plus it's an easy spot to chat up random people.

The bar is outside, but if it is not windy the heaters do a good job. And yes, you can order food there. Just a side note: The bathrooms are inside of Harrah's.

Just a quick TIP for anyone who gets lucky enough to sit at the Bar:
It is bar far like scoring front row seats at a sold out concert. You can see the stage great from there, AND you have the honor of getting those 'stronger then most' drinks fast, direct from the Bar Staff, and have front row to that part of the show... which in my mind is a huge part of the created atmosphere. Those bartenders are nothing less then professional performers with a high quality touch of class to them.
HERE'S THE TIP I was attempting to get out before my long-winded fingers just kept going and....
The one & only time i was fortunate enough to sit at the bar at night, the couple next to my 'now X' wife and I did not seem to understand the concept about tipping. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the bartenders that wew dogging them, but they have the talent and ability to be able to get the crowd around you/them to be the ones to ame sure they felt even smaller then the bills they were tipping. I thought it was hilarious, and I'm a completely nice kind of guy. But by the time those two left, I and many others, were laughing so hard we were crying! It was a self-growing dog-fest on them that actually went around the bar and started a few rows towards the stage... SO BY ALL MEANS, Know what the normal tip percentage is, AND REMEMBER that those are percentages bases on a non-thrills experience. The ended up making up for the cheapies by all of us other, but these guys could and should be making a ton of money on stage somewhere, yet they choose to be there serving our drunk-ass, stupid-asses! Now that says something. So guys, don't emberass you and your lady/friends by being 'that guy', and ladies, make sure your man/men give properly to the ones giving so much to us in the form of liquid awesomness - LOL - I should be a motivational speaker..No.... maybe in politics... no? Well, at least I can keep myself entertained.

                        Cheers friends!

CC is a guaranteed disaster in a good vegas way.
I fully expect to be carrying someone out of there...like every trip
Good spot for the 3-7pm range

It is always fun to bet on who will go down and be carried out by security. Someone always goes down hard by 7pm. Not everyone can handle CC!
