This topic made me remember one of the more laughable events on a recent Vegas trip - -

That's amazing. I can just imagine how funny that looked too.

This site is a wealth of information. Saves me from asking a bunch of stupid questions (which is generally my specialty). Thanks.

Just found this site recently, but I'm making my 1st vegas bottle service arrangments for Vanity and Jet this weekend. Going to follow, Bobby's advice. But when would be the right time to tip the host? Upon meeting him or once I get to the table?

Thanks in advance for any input.

After reading this I feel so bad!!! All the times I've gone to clubs and gotten bottle service and I've never onced tipped the bouncer, runner, or host. MY BAD!!!!! Now, I know.
Vegas is everything that’s right with America. You can do whatever you want, 24 hours a day. They’ve effectively legalized everything there.

Sometimes when we think back on how much $ we spent on tips, we're amazed. Typically a $50 to the host that seats us (often not the same person that set up the table), $20 to security at the beginning of the night (and sometimes also at the end), $20 to the "ice guy" up front...and more later if warranted (you won't believe what these guys can get away with "dropping" off at your table), 20% to the waitress when we close the initial bill towards the beginning of the night (always do this while we're at least semi-sober) with the promise of more $ at the end of the night, and finally $50-100 via paypal to the host that set up the table when we get home if the location was good and everything was as promised (everyone has shown up at least once for that lower bottle limit only to be told it wasn't available). Going out in Vegas costs $, but if you only get out there a few times a year why not spend the $ and do it up right?!

Well, lets not forget what TIPS stands for: To INSURE Proper Service. Tipping up front is well worth it in my book. We aren't eating a family restaurant in which we will throw a few bucks to the waiter after our meal. At any higher end/more prestigious places - not limited to just bottle service at clubs, try tipping early you will be surprised at the service you get.

But, this is just my opinion
