Just to throw in my two cents (a bit late, sorry): I normally fly in and take a cab from the airport to whichever hotel I'm staying at. I always tell the cabbie to take me to the Vons right next to the airport on Tropicana and Maryland and wait for me for about 10-15 min. It's a supermarket, so not only can you get some booze, you can pick up waters/snacks/etc. for the hotel room. If you don't spend too much time dicking around in the market, it usually only adds $5-10 to the cab fare.

There's a ABC inside the Miracle Mile Shops in PH, from the Cosmo would be a 5-8 minute walk over that bridge and through the mall. I thought it wasn't too bad price wise.Originally posted by AsianMissile View PostI'm staying at the Cosmopolitan in 2 weeks which is close to PH Westgate. I know there is a CVS a block away (next to the Mandarin) and a Walgreens across the street. I'm hoping one of those places sells booze for the room.anonanon

That's a great tip. I've went to Costco twice now just to pick up water/soda/snacks/drinks for group of 10+. I'll definitely check it out next time I go.Originally posted by schen1119 View PostJust to throw in my two cents (a bit late, sorry): I normally fly in and take a cab from the airport to whichever hotel I'm staying at. That's sooo funny... I rent a car, but the first place I go is to that same Von's!!! Even though I don't have a cab waiting, I sail through the place cause I'm excited to get Vegas "started"... I'm there once a month and still get excited! I know exactly where the bottled water, gatorade, mixers and Pringles are. Have the clerk get my Jack Daniels out of the case and on my way. Once in awhile those styrofoam ice-chests work great as well!!!!
