That's definitely lame, especially considering they never even specify that in the Terms & Conditions. Like blibb said, though, if you somehow manage to get an e-mail response back from them that no postcard is needed upon check-in, you still have a good chance (written confirmation).....right?

I gave everyone a heads up that this is going on. I dont know if people want to risk traveling around this hotel deal though. Especially when they flat out told me on the phone that the reservation confirmation is not good enough to get this rate.

this is total crap and is DEFINITELY bad for business. i already hate staying over there cuz its a major pain in the ass transport-wise i will likely cancel mine and go with my original plan of PH or Flamingo, but i'm gonna wait to see when/if they call me and what they say. i mean, i do have a stupid Club Palms card so i'm technically IN their database. however, i hardly play there so of course i don't get the mail offers... may try to email too, just to see. i see a shitty yelp review coming on....

Don't think so, the only thing I've paid when getting to the hotel in the past has been the resort fee. But it may work differently for me because I tend to book flights + hotel as a package through a travel website, which is all paid in advance.

I'm not that bothered about losing this though, staying at the Palms strikes me as a bit of a pain in the ass.

Yup, still have my original PH resevation for the backup. But there should be more deals to come out soon (though none as ridiculous as the Palms one)
