I agree. There really should be some incentive for lurkers to join up. As of now, there is none. I think it's weird to hide in the background and peep on other people's pictures and shit.

I understand your point and we can definitely run it by Jack, but I think his main goal is to provide the website to users "no strings" type of deal.

I think the goal is to entice people to join because they WANT to participate(and because our community kicks ass)....Sure he could force them to register to view the forums, but then they still wouldn't post and we'd have an inflated member list with a bunch of "fake" accounts created for the sole purpose of viewing the forums

No worries, I enjoyed the TR and the pics while they lasted

That's an interesting idea. I bet it would have better results than most would expect.

The pics are all on my facebook account... I sent Warren a message, so if he's on your list, you can view the pics through mutual friends. Nothing too crazy, just good fun. I wouldn't know how to go about finding the trip report after it's been deleted though.

didn't realize that. go ahead and repost the trip review portions, but i'll leave the picture album on Facebook set to "friends of friends"... that way it at least limits the amount of potential random viewers.
