best time of the year to go to vegas?

i personally like July/August. nice and hot so hitting the pool parties makes sense, not too expensive, and still warm enough to walk at night with no jacket. but then again i live on the Gulf in TX, even triple digits of dry heat in vegas is better than 85 degrees + 1000% humidity here.

I think May is ok, but it gets cool at night (and day sometimes too) plus it can be windy. December/January is too cold for me and plus you have to worry about coat checks and stuff But I'm also thinking about Halloween this year too....

ahhh.. well you never know .. things might get super cheap with last min flights *cross your fingers*
