AOD Invasion - What to Bring

Yeah I need to overpack more this year. Last year I brought exactly 4 dresses, 1 of which was fine, was not super clubby. Always good to have extras....
I still need to get a new bathing suit/s so I'll be lucky if I have 1 to bring, let alone 2-3-4. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to improvise! LOL JK
Sunblock- all the caspers out there like me bring your regular sunblock lotion- 30 or higher and bring the spray stuff. Because when you are drinking by the pool you know (at least in my case) your lazy ass isn't going to take all the time to put the lotion on. I always do the lotion in my room, then spray from there on out!5 days til AOD Invasion May 19-24! Palms Place Baby!

LADIES!! (and gents, I suppose...)
I highly recommend buying this stuff called moleskin for your feet. It's like this weird cushiony suede-like stuff that you cut to size and stick on your feet to prevent blisters. I discovered it when I was working at tradeshows, and it is AMAZING for toes or whatever else gets destroyed in 5" heels (or dress shoes, guys). It stays on WAY longer than bandaids do. Rocked it all weekend long, and no blisters/cuts/owies.
Oh, and dry shampoo. I've tried damn near every kind, and my fave is Tigi's Rockaholic "Dirty Secret". It gets that nasty stale cigarette smell out of your hair, and gives it a crap-load of volume. This works wonders before going out at night.Last edited by Moezilla; 05-04-2010, 12:44 PM.Oh, P-tr-ck, I STILL need to borrow your German Leg Breaking Machine....Thx.

Really? No one comments on Jap's comment about a man thong or do you guys really just pack that shit standard?Originally posted by uejjapNot really sure on the swim apparel but at least 1 manthong is required.Originally posted by killerfanatics View PostI was actually thinking about this yesterday. How many swim trunks do I need to take? Jeans? t-shirts? dress shirts? etc. Kinda frustrating, yet exciting at the same time. I don't want to over pack, but not under pack either.
The rest really depends on what you plan on wearing to the clubs... I tend to overpack so I plan on bringing at least 5 club t-shirts, 3 casual t-shirts, a couple tank tops, 2 long sleeve dress shirts, 2 short sleeve button ups..... probably 3 pairs of jeans
I always bring more clothes than you could possibly use. You never know what occasion you have to dress for. Oh and a carton of cigarettes. No way am I paying outrageous $9.00 a pack.Last edited by aria; 05-04-2010, 04:02 PM.

Same here - my checked baggage always is at the 50lb limit (flying 1st class on US Airways was nice last time out... no weight limit). I always try to pack my chelsea boots or oxfords in my carry on and have the option to stuffing a boot in my laptop bag (my satchel, alright?)Originally posted by dnix View PostOriginally posted by WarreN View PostI always over-pack, I'm pretty adamant about packing DOUBLE the amount of clothes that I actually need.Originally posted by killerfanatics View PostI was actually thinking about this yesterday. I have a large suit case that helps me indulge in this ritual.
For instance a 5 day trip would require possibly 5-7 shirts. I would bring 10, PLUS another 4-5 dress shirts. I'm terrible...I know
+1 I like having options. I always have to reorganize my things do to the 50lb weight limit
As for what I'm brining... shoot, I don't know yet. Hit up neimen marcus & saks this past weekend, got some things on sale... still looking for the right pair of jeans, though (light weight, maybe Joe's or AG or something).

Hmm...gonna have to check out and try that moleskin before the trip, that sounds like a lifesaver!Originally posted by Moezilla View PostLADIES!! (and gents, I suppose...)

I use this sample of frederic fekkai dry shampoo and it does work. I usually use that before the pool and then re-do my hair for night, but sometimes I'm too hungover so this is also a good thing to have handy!5 days til AOD Invasion May 19-24! Palms Place Baby!

I'm gonna have to try the moleskin AND the dry shampoo. Thanks Mo and PIV for posting those tips. This sounds lame, but if I just try 4 inch shoes and walk around for like 1 minute, my feet start to hurt..
I'm checking luggage this time, and probably bringing
two pairs uncomfortable shoes
one pair comfortable shoes
two pairs of flip flops, one pair of sandals/slip on shoes
not sure what clothing yet but probaby a few dresses, jeans, tops, tees, shorts.
two or three bikinis and a cover up and baseball hat.
my amazing over the door toiletry kit
hair conditioner
sunblock
Ipod Touch
cash
blue diamond almonds
coconut oil - this stuff is awesome.
PIV - i found a cute plain bikini at wal-mart of all places, I ended up modifying the bottom a bit with my arts and crafts skills.. but you probably don't shop there.. that store "just add water" has some nice bikinis but it's a bit spendy.
Mo - I thought someone told me baby powder works too. I don't really like that scent so have never tried it..
Blib, sounds like a nice shopping trip. If you like AG, try Diesel too.
