Don't mean to be a philistine, but would it be possible for someone to articulate what makes wet republic so good?
In my research the only thing I can discern is that the pool itself looks rather municipal. There isn't much to the landscaping or architecture to make it stand out.
I'm not saying I'm capable of judging the place without having been there, in fact I'm sure I'm missing the X factor that makes the place great. I just want to know what it is. Especially since I'm bringing a bunch of first timers in june and I want to do my homework and make sure they have fun.

Well let me throw my 2cents out there. Last sat was my first time at wet and I loved it. I must say as soon as you walk in you think SEXY. The layout is very nice, the food and drinks are awesome and the girls are extremely hot. I was there from 10am - 7pm and the party was still going. Grab a couple of chairs and enjoy the view.Originally posted by tombrokaw View PostDon't mean to be a philistine, but would it be possible for someone to articulate what makes wet republic so good?

Studio 54 used to be the place to be, now its not. The architecture hasnt changed or anything else. Its the crowd that makes or breaks a place, and right now they have a good crowd, and its one of top places to be. That could change tomorrow, but for now it hasnt lost it flavor.Originally posted by tombrokaw View PostDon't mean to be a philistine, but would it be possible for someone to articulate what makes wet republic so good?

I think Encore beach is gonna bring Rehab, Wet, and Ditch down a notch, but we wont know until the reviews come in. From the reviews Ive read Liquid is competing more for Bare and Tao beaches business.
Personally, if your looking to be impressed with architecture and landscaping, stick to the hotel pools. Seriously. They blow the pool parties away. M Resort is a great example. Even the Mirage.Blackout Artist

And studio 54 used to be popular?! And you aren't talking about the original one in the 70's.
