Advice on Hotels

Thoughts?

Could I grab some tthoughts- so hard to choose as there is so many options... I'm tossing up between:

Mirage
Planet Hollywood
TI

In that order, going to base selection on central location, age (I want more of a younger /party crowd I'm 23) and cost/ value where I can find online specials.

I have no idea it's all too hard to pick haha can someone also give me an idea if distances in walking?? Eg time to walk from say the mirage to mgm grand, very hard to judge just looking at maps! And one last thing... The palms (my actual first choice if it were on the strip) what's the walking distance to the strip, is it doable??

first off messey, I always had reservations about palms too because of the off the strip location BUT if its still on the table DO IT!! its perfect for your age, has 3 great spots in rain ghostbar and playboy/moon....awesome restaurants in nine, little buddha and nove...the pool speaks for itself. the walk is doable but prob not much fun but a cab ride will be about 6 bucks (if you are really strapped for cash you could walk across street to rio and they have shuttles to the strip) and to be honest I think you will spend a good amount of time at the palms and prob only leave to hit up another club on the strip.
but out of the three hotels that you listed I would say TI, would be best for what ur looking for. it will have a younger crowd, the hotel is pretty nice, the pool is good and they have a great little pool bar to hang at great rest in social house and cool little spot in mist. a walk from ti to mgm is a pretty good hike and mirage is close to TI so it would be pretty much the same. Ive heard some good things about Planet hollywood but im really not too fimiliar with it.

Planet Hollywood is definitely a younger crowd. Last time we hit up Prive the waiting line to check in was disgustingly long. But the rooms are fairly modern, great for the younger types (like myself). The tables are interesting (I believe they have pink chips) and poles with go-go dancers writhing away on them.

Not sure about their dining options or any of that though. But it's a modern, young feel for sure.

try priceline. I always use them when going out of town. You can use sites like www.biddingfortravel.com to narrow the list of hotels you may be placed at.

I have to agree with Aria. The MGM is the shizzle. Stayed there a few weeks ago. I got en e-mail from their Reel Accss thing and got friday and saturday for $70.00 a night. Weekdays would have been $50. When I called the phone number it said something about MGM VIP Marketing something. The beds are the kick ass. Had lots of room in the room (lol). Definately worth looking into.
(side note: tried the $20.00 sandwich and failed)

i would stay somewhere in the middle of the strip last year i went to vegas 3 times once in feb and than in may and than in november i stayed at the mgm in feb and in may i got the small room the first with the 2 queens bed and i got a bad view and than in may i went back to mgm in may and i got a upgrade room with better view and bigger this one had a couch and chair and two tvs and bigger bathroom nice room beds are really comfortable and than in november i stayed at the hotel at the mandalay bay that hotel is really nice rooms are awesome its splits the room in two with a part of the living room and the other part of the beds and it has a mini bar and a sink and two bathrooms overall one of the nicest places i stayed one bad thing about this its really far from everything so you have to walk everywhere and get a cab for everthing which you can walk anywhere but when you go out clubing u really dont want to walk to tryst all dressed from the hotel very long walk one good thing here you rarely find a line to get a cab im going back in may for the paquio fight now i will be staying at the encore and im kinda stuck in the same situation will see how it goes
