Do you ever go to Tako no Ki? I think we went there almost every day for a week.. love the onion salad..

My ex lived there so I got to go to non-tourist traps. However, he lived in a tourist trap area.. right by the food pantry..

I do, yeah. I'm moving places, and the place I'm moving into is basically a 15 minute jog away from Waikiki Beach. I'm planning on getting some good running in and bumming on the beach more often.

Never been, but I see it's on Royal Hawaiian Ave - right in Waikiki, huh? There's some GOOD places to be had outside of Waikiki and not far from there. Went to eat at this Japanese restaurant near Kua'aina that was open until 2am after drinking one night, and I never quite realized how delicious tonkatsu and a spicy ahi (tuna) roll tasted at 1am, but MAN.

Haha - I know the Food Pantry you're talking about, I think. The one in Waikiki?
