Tip is on the larger side

It doesn't work everytime.. I have tipped them 50% the price of my drink but since its so chaotic they tend to forget who tipped them. What has worked is just giving my gf money and having her buy the drink instead.

Agreed with that big of a crowd they sometimes tend to forget who has tipped well. Maybe find a way to tip before they pour, not sure if that would work?

Not sure if that's acceptable in the industry but why not. You would get a strong drink on your first trip and probably be remembered as "the guy that tipped well ahead of his order".

Its definitely worth a shot! I think last time my drink was so weak that I had to bring my drink up to my friends room in the HRH to spike it and bring it back to rehab

that has rarely happened to me, but if it does I change bartenders. I also always try to find the slow bar with an ugly girl or guy. Try to get the person no one else wants. Makes your tip look even bigger.

I know, I hate how exactly they measure everything out in the UK! That's why I don't mind spending $15 on a drink in Vegas, at least you get something for your money. When you spend that on a drink in a club in London you're getting exactly the same as if you bought it somewhere cheap.

Surely that logic works the same in all American bars though? although your $15 gets a large drink in vegas, wouldn't you also get the same larger drink for $5 in a smaller town?!!
